Nifty cast on. I always use the Turkish cast on which works beautifully but this seems less awkward.

I use 2 separate wooden needles and not like yours that have blue string to connect the two needles. Will I still be able to achieve this?

No. You need circular needles. Just like the separate needles; cheap at local craft store.
The sides do not close when I do it? I must be doing something wrong. For the last one I made I ended up just sewing the sides but I would rather do it properly so it was tidier.

Hi, the sides should close, maybe you knit too loose at the sides ?
