//ABOUT THIS VIDEO//
This is a simple diamond-shaped pattern that is a combination of triangles going in two different directions. This is a great pattern that can be used in any of your projects such as scarves, cowls, and even hats and sweaters. This pattern is a 13-row pattern that is repeated till you get the desired length.
TIPS
- it would be good idea to have some extra stitches on either side for the border. I have 1 stitch on either side in this demonstration
- having even number of stitches helps for this pattern. I have a total of 30 stitches cast on (28 stitches for pattern and 2 stitches for the border)
STEPS
Cast on desired stitches for border
Row 1: 1k, (2k,1k)tog*, repeat * till 1 st remaining, 1k
Row 2: purl till end of row (all even rows)
Row 3: 1k, 1k, [F(2k,1k)tog x4, B(1k,2k)tog]*, repeat *, 2k
Row 5: 1k, [F(2k,1k)tog x4, B(1k,2k)tog x 2]*, repeat *, 1k
Row 7: 1k, B(1k,2k)tog, [F(2k,1k)tog x3, B(1k,2k)tog x2]*, repeat *, 1k
Row 9: 1k, 1k, B(1k,2k)tog, [F(2k,1k)tog x2, B(1k,2k)tog x3]*, repeat *, 2k
Row 11: 1k, B(1k,2k)tog x2, F(2k,1k)tog, [B(1k,2k)tog x4, F(2k,1k)tog]*, repeat *, F(2k,1k)tog, 1k
Row 13: 2k, [B(1k,2k)tog]*, repeat * till 1 st remaining, 1k
Repeat these 13 rows till you get desired length
