Hi Cosmo! Great video for the archives...thank you. Looks like you're cleaning her up after a trip lol. Love my Propex HS2000 too! So far with mine I've only had the one code you normally get when the propene is disconnected or turned off which is expected and easily resets with the control panel. My HS2000 is mounted in a box on the roof under the roof rack so my intake and exhaust pipes are on the roof up and away from any mud and stuff so they've never gotten clogged... but if I need to get in and clear a code on the logic board I'll be outside and on the roof to do that so that part not as convenient as your location. Cheers and thanks for sharing!

I installed garden hose end fittings on the end of my Propex exhaust and intake hoses secured with SS hose clamps and put brass caps on these fitting to prevent the hoses from getting filled with mud. My process is, remove brass caps by holding the SS clamps, open propane valve, turn on power to propex, turn the propex thermostat knob to high and then turn the upper knob to light. Since doing this a year ago I have not gotten any error codes and the propex heater starts every time on my 1991 VW camper. Most of my trips are on a majority of dirt roads.

Super helpful video! I had my van converted for me, and they installed the heater beneath a bench cabinet. Accessing the heater means emptying the cabinet and removing the base. It's not impossible to get to, but since I've already had faults while living in my driveway I think I'm going to make some adjustments. I am planning on some pretty dirty trips myself and want to keep warm while I do it! I agree that it's really toasty when it's working, so comfy when it's cold outside.

The fuse is to protect voltage spikes/shorts in the thermostat circuit only. Those are Fault code reset changed from flame-off-flame to fan-off-fan (or vice versa, I forget). The fault reset button is a 2211 feature. CN18 is actually where that 2211 reset button connects but not on the 2000. You actually shouldn't need to use that function unless the pipes both got plugged and solid light is on. One other trick: that tiny red/orange jumper you see at 4:12 in the video, left of the red and yellow wires? Remove that and reset reverts to 'disconnect power and reconnect' to reset all faults. Far easier than the thermostat twist method. ;)

I was once told enthusiasts that glamp in teardrop trailers have security issues and/or are not comfortable in a fabric tent. Which I totally understand; however, while that theory may have some validity but when it comes to heating and cooling it makes perfect sense to have something hard-sided. What was your motivation for a hard-sided structure vs a large, fabric tent? Me personally, I have camped in to both a tent and my vehicle. I prefer the van in the winter solely because I'm out the elements when sleep. In the summer, I would love to be in my van but there is no way to stay cool enough to be comfortable. Also, critters and criminals roam a lot more during summer and I fear harm or death when I sleep and feel I am at a disadvantage.

I get loads of warnings about Black bears I photograph. There is less than one Black bear confrontation in the USA a year. There are than 16,000 human/human murders a year. That's actually what the 2211 model does, via a pair of wires and button switch. However - if you remove that tiny orange/red jumper at around 4:12 in the video, you can then reset it far easier by just pulling the power fuse or disconnecting power, then reconnecting. The jumper changes how the fault resets.

Hi Peter. I am am not sure of the altitude rating for this heater. I do know many heaters have to be modified for altitude. Why don't you contact Propex? Please let me know when you find out. โœ… Check my other videos kzread.infovideos SUBSCRIBE kzread.info =๐“’๐“ธ๐“ผ๐“ถ๐“ธ โœ…

Should go to 10K ft IF the propane pressure is correct and pipes full length.

Instead of removing the air filter why not just tie a bag over it when there's a risk of clogging

Thanks Jeff. Will try not sure how a bag will hold up. But its an idea I can test. โœ… Check my other videos kzread.infovideos SUBSCRIBE kzread.info =๐“’๐“ธ๐“ผ๐“ถ๐“ธ โœ…

Hi Jason. I already have propane so Im not eager to add another fuel to my rig. The heater is outstanding but after a lot of abuse it needs some love too!
