How To Keep Flowerhorn In Community Tank

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

The notion that Flowerhorns must only be kept as a single specimen is simply untrue. Flowerhorns are known for the aggressive temperament (as with most cichlids) and are often appreciated as a single specimens in an aquarium.
This does not mean they cannot live in a community tank. With the appropriate steps and measures, it is certainly possible. While it is never risk-free, these steps increase your chances of success.

    I currently have a flowerhorn living with 3 king kong parrots, 3 polar blue parrots, and two electric blue carpintis and everything has been going well. I kept them all in a divided tank for a few months before I took the divider out. The flowerhorn was on one side and the rest on the other. My flowerhorn is definetly the biggest fish and seems to really like hanging out with the King Kong parrots a lot.

    SF90 Airton the turtle got him. I really hate how he has the turtle in the community tank. He basically drops the fish in knowing the turtle will attempt to eat them. If they survive,good for them,if they get eaten,he will just replace the fish. It’s pretty cruel in my opinion.

    The secret is...... the community tank. At least thats what i think it is. Because he is the boss of the tank with so many other fish inside, he feels extremely dominant and thus big kok. Thats why i call him King Thanos. Because he rules over so many other fish and has a big crown!

    Hey bro sorry but looks like thanos lost his upper fin , what it’s called I forgot . I would suggest put in different tank to see his full beauty anyways it’s your call , but I must say since long time we have seen thanos and man he is hugeeeee now . His kok is massive . Still when new people will see your tank they would be woah how do you manage turtle , fishes and all . Btw since your turtle and fishes video , my turtle is happy with fishes since 6 plus months , he only gets pissed on them when they eat his food and runaway , the fish I had kept were tiger barbs and yeah they are super quick and another species I kept is roseline shark alias Denison barb which is native here , and they are like barbs super fast and big in size , he at start had chipped them , but later turtle adjusted and there chipped part grown back.

  • @SGBeardedAquarist

    @SGBeardedAquarist

    Thanos upper fin lost was from the first 2 weeks. Made some mistakes while acclimating him. It's fine now but it just doesn't grow back because the damage was too deep. And your experiences are exactly the same as mine! Tiger barbs no problem, denison barbs (had them at one point) got attacked at first. They have this dot (or stripe) on their tail if im not wrong and i think it looks like a pellet to the turtle 🤣
