IMO, the greatest tip for jumping on skates is to use your toes. Pop off your front wheel as if you were doing a nollie on a skateboard. Most beginners keep their feet and knees completely stiff when trying to jump cause theyre not comfortable on skates. Keep your body loose, crouch, then extend and release while popping off your front wheels and throwing your arms up.

Really appreciate that you're taking the time to do tutorials for those of us at this level of learning as well as all the advanced tricks and skills 👍👍

Super useful bro. Just getting back on blades tonight and took my 4yo and 10yo out to the rink for the first time. 31 years old. Still got the blades in the blood. Been 15-18 years since I slipped into some blades. Keep it up 👍

I’ve skated on quads and only been able to do shoot the duck lol. 3rd day roller blading and I could probably jump over the width of the yellow lines in the middle of the street. Lol. Could maybe jump the red line.

This video helped a lot as I just got back into blading but could we get a more in depth video on jumping?? even your stiff jump is better than my soft jump, lol.....

Anyone has a good suggestion on how to get my kid more in to blading instead of riding on his scooter? He tried it a couple of times on he’s skates, but he more like to ride on the scooter.....

Do cool skate tricks. They will see and want to copy you. So do some nice grinds and stuff. Not much else you can do.

Great tips but you should re do this with more of your foot work viewable.

I wish you'd at least wear a helmet while shooting your videos. Harder to get my son to wear one when so many skaters he's watching on KZread for instruction and inspiration aren't wearing one so he figures why should I. Thanks for making the videos.

Skate with your son and wear all the pads and he will as well. I tell my daughter I look cool because I'm not going to get hurt.

@@izzyherrera9804 always wear my helmet. He's happy wearing a helmet. Struggle is getting him to wear other pads. Typing this at a skatepark now and he's got knee pads on as well today.
