Just a reminder that you cannot immediately sell your unlisted share once it gets listed since there's a lock in period for about 6 months best way to exit the share is probably to sell it during its pre ipo process since during that time the gray market gets hot and share starts rising before its listing

Amul is a co-op society and not a company , whereas Parle is listed and trades around ₹10

Yes. If you are holding any shares prior to listing, you have to continue to hold it till 6 months from the date of listing of such shares

If you bought at 1000 and company listed at 500, then per share you are losing 500.

No actually.. when you buy UNLISTED shares you should exit and square off profits or losses before the company gets listed into secondary market.

It's a risk bro. Unlisted share trade almost 3x than actual valuation, its better to book losses before even announcement of ipo. Once announcement done stock will be atleast 50% cheaper in primary market.
