Nice vid. Just to add, the mentioned tickers have 100% equity as holdings so be aware. Could be risky during a market crash or bear market trend and you are a few years away from retirement. As a good rule to follow, invest a % of your portfolio same as your age in a more secured investment, e.g. If you are 40 yrs old, you don't want to put all your money on index with 100% equity holdings due to risk of market crash or bear market, instead invest 60% in index like the tickers mentioned and 40% (40 yrs old) of port in bonds. Adjust according to your risk appetite. (Disclaimer: not a financial advice)

Hi po, what international brokerage can you recommend? And do they offer the lowest fee? Lastly, rather than getting an international brokerage, is it lower in-terms of fees if I just invest in a local brokerage like Eastwest?

I enrolled to BPIUSFF:PM today. I have a question though po. Its common to see S&P500 as a low risk long term investment. But why does BPI index feeder fund ETF SPY SP500 considered aggressive according to BPI?

Basically, if you invest in stocks (equities or shares), it is considered aggressive. Since S&P500 is composed of different stocks, it is considered aggressive. But the level of aggressiveness will be lesser compared to investing directly to individual companies.

The prices are different for each fund or ETF differs because it depends on how much was the initial price offering during IPO and the number of initial outstanding shares offered to the public.

VOO includes only large cap companies while VTI kasama ang small at mid cap companies. VTI is more diversified.

All your earning outside of the Philippines are tax free from a Philippine perspective. You will only be taxed on the country where you gain your earnings - in this case US if you invest in the SP500 for example.

i do not recommend etoro coz the investments there are CFDs which are derivatives and not the actual underlying assets. please read the terms and conditions of etoro.

Regardless kahit saang bansa po kayo. U need a broker to buy and sell securities in a Stocks Exchange.

Bat wala na kayo bagong video sir? May bago sir gotrade direct sa US market pde ng mabili yung paborito nyong vanguard na hindi CFD.

Ok lang po yun Kevin. Lahat ng MP2 accounts ko are opened online, and yung form ay hindi na kailangang isubmit. All my MP2 accounts are cirrently active and earning dividends. Kaya, dont worrynpo.

Ano po recommended niyo na international brokerage to invest in VOO or IVV, if I'm based in the PH? :) Aside from the hassle of applying and etc, additional expenses po ba if international brokerage ang gagamitin instead of the local banks po?

@@robinomana589 as ive said, etoro is for derivatives. For example, when you buy VOO via etoro, you are buying a derivative contract with the broker not the original shares of the VOO ETF.

If you truly want to invest for your future and retirement, I would suggest to put in regularly same amount of money, say monthly or quarterly kung ano ang kaya mo. Ang tawag dito ay cost-averaging strategy. Just make sure what you are investing is the money that you will not need in the next 10 or more years. You will be surprised how much you'll have after 20 years if you do not redeem/sell anything as you are harnessing the power of compounding.

Don’t go for etoro. Lugi ka sa taxes. Kindly check IBKR, and look for irish-domiciled ETF’s that track the s&p 500 to save on taxes.

Final tax is 20% of earnings. In the Philippines, earnings from mutual funds are generally subject to a 20% final withholding tax on interest income and other monetary benefits derived from these investments. This tax is withheld at the source, meaning it is automatically deducted before you receive the income, making it a final tax. Therefore, when you redeem your mutual fund shares, no additional taxes are imposed on the earnings, as the necessary taxes have already been paid.

I am an investor from Canada, lots of experience in Stock and ETFs but the Trust fee they have is insane in the philippines, i guess there isnt much choice. I am looking to buy some ETFs for my kids and wife to be taken care off when i die in the Philippines. For Example: Lets Says I put $1,000,000 Away in EastWest S&P 500 Index Equity Feeder Fund with a 0.53% fee instead of 0.03%. In 10 years i would pay extra $90,000 in just 10 years.
