@@impurepics "Programming Languages" had to write the same code in different languages. Started with Java simple... Ended with Murderous thoughts AKA Haskell. I would have rather rewrite the Java program in binary or machine code.

I bet it would have been even easier to write the program in JavaScript. We like pure functional languages for the same reason many programmers prefer statically typed languages over dynamic ones.
1:54 I almost got fired for doing too much work as it made my colleagues feel insecure. So now I work like 6 hours per day.
I love the scapegoat pattern!
A video on converting some simple scripts into haskell would be nice. Or purescript instead of js scripts typically used in GitHub actions
Does the same apply for PureScript?

except there is exactly no application that switching to haskell will accelerate the development time or performance of.

Except fp is on a significantly higher level of abstraction than typical imperative code so making programs will be faster in fp compared to imperative the same way c is faster to write than assembly
nice video!! it’s very sad that when people begin to learn how to program, only “common” paradigms are taught, and things like fp get “controversial” just because they are different… :(
Haskell is this type of programming language were the team is actually happy about NOT using or implementing it to the current stack.
