Half of the things I know about cats, such as what this video describes, I can throw out of the window with my current cat. When I brought it home I did everything to make it comfortable. It didn't care. When I opened the box she just exited, started purring and took a tour of the whole place marking the furniture with her head. Then she took a nap. Sometimes I'm worried my cat is too brave.

she got excited and came out without a fuss BECAUSE you made it comfortable. This is what they need, a room that is well prepared with all the necessary equipment. I did the same, and my 12 week old kitten came out after only one minute. And she quickly started to play with the toys. If you have a healthy cat to begin with who doesn't have a past trauma, it is pretty normal that they come out quickly.

WHAT is going on with that music? It is way too loud and makes it very difficult to HEAR what she is saying. This is NOT a music video so please let us just hear what she is saying. When we took our new cat that is abandoned at the park home he quickly adapted and made friends with our other cat. The first time he was like:"oh, this is new" then the next day he's already playing with our other cat and started feeling comfortable.

When is the best time to let the cat out of it's safe room? Yesterday i opened his door and he slowly came out into my room, but now he's on the window sill in the living room, which is good because we'd like him to go downstairs more often, but I'm afraid that he's too nervous to go back upstairs (it was just me and him in the morning, but my mum just got home and he seems nervous) what do I do? Also, how do we go about moving his water and food bowl to get him to eat in the kitchen rather than my mum's bedroom?

I was about to say the same. Perhaps she meant they dont like being disturbed whilst doing their business which is true. So in some ways putting it in a quieter area makes sense that way, but it's not to do with privacy. If you put your litter tray right infront of the front door and have regular visitors and they get disturbed half way though a few times they might stop using it

People say that when you bring a new kitten home that you should have him/her in a room like washing room or bathroom and have all the necessities in there as well so that they can get used to their new home. I've been thinking about getting a kitten for a quite some time now and I want to know if when I bring the kitten home if I can raise it in my room that I sleep in and over all spend the most time in. Or is it necessary to have the cat in a bathroom or washing room? I have a large family so it would be hard to have the kitten in a bathroom or washing room because those are places we use on a daily basis and the room that is quietest and I was hoping to have my kitten in was my bedroom.

I'm going to get a kitten from my friend and I wonder if it's okay if I take my cat with me to them sometimes so it can meet it's mom, is that okay or?

I thought i had a neutered kitten some 2 years back but it seems not i now have 2 kittens eight days old mums been looking after them so far but do you have a video i can learn from eg: pooping toilet training feeding weaning ect

i have the same feeling when i look at all these how to introduce videos .. but the fact is that every single cat is unique en how you approach the introduction is totally up to your cat. i wanted to do it the way they say it .. realllly sloowww , but both the kitten and the older cat wanted to be with each other and after a day they were already sleeping next to each other . it depends on how old your cat is .. how good she is with other cats ..
