Broke my frame, got a new one, thank u for this video from 4 years ago

I bought a pair off of ebay that came with 2 extra sets of lenses and ive kept the same ones in for the past 4 years and theyve held up surprisingly well. Theyve gotten a bit scratched up so it was time to swap them out and this video made it super easy! Thanks guys!

Can I change multiple time the lense? Cuz I want to buy an other lense so when ride i put my trail torch lense on and when I do some everyday things I put the other lense like a 24k primz lense.

Hi Thomas! Although the lens is interchangeable it may tend to wear down over time. We have not swapped it out enough times to know for sure but it seems like the more you swap it, the more of a chance you have to wear down the edging of the frame or edge of the lens.

I’m waiting for my new sutros to arrive and they were only a bit more expensive than the replacement prizm lense for my jawbreakers I was originally searching for.what’s that all about? I’ve got a big choice to make now,do I wear my foragers,clifdens or sutros to look cool hiking in the mountains? Love the great reviews guys.

Hi there-I can't speak to Oakleys pricing system because that is something they determine on their end but I agree that replacement lenses are a bit pricey. I would say go with the Clifdens if you are hiking around snow at all because those side shields will keep any glare from sneaking in on the sides. Otherwise I would go for the Sutro or Forager. @@sportrxeyewear Replacement lenses cost 90 odd euros new sutros 109 euros,a no brainer,who needs another excuse to buy another pair of Oakleys. I’ll keep my clear lenses in the jawbreakers an use them for riding in shit weather. I’ve been rocking Oakley since the early 90s mumbos which had very fragile crystal frames and only strayed once with Bricos à la Mario Cippolini circa 1993 and they were badass. Keep up the great content guys.

Hey Jay! If you put too much stress on the frame when interchanging the lenses the middle bracket could potentially pop off but this is usually not the case. Glad to hear you were able to get it back on! If you have any pictures you can send them to info@sportrx.com and one of our opticians can assess to see whether there's a specific reason for the bracket detaching. You can take it to a local optician as well who may be able to identify the problem if it's reoccurring. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately not due to the single shield lens design. 2 lenses are required for Rx and this frame was not designed to attach to or accommodate eyeglass frames.

because of this reason i have 2. the sevond is the one with clear glasses. i use it on my roadbike and on holidays when i rent scooters, to save my eyes from the wind.

My Sutro are from 2019. Is the original version interchangeable? Or is this only for newer models?

Hi Dan! It should be the same model and while not typically considered an 'interchangeable' frame design, it is relatively easy to swap out different lenses.

And what if you wanted to use the sutro lenses on a pair of sutro s would that work?

Hey Amanda! The Sutro has a standard hinge devoid of any hardware which makes swapping out the temples (arms) a breeze. You'll want to firmly hold the frame at the hinge with one hand, while holding the temple with the other hand at the point where the hinge connects. You'll need to apply a bit of pressure before you feel and hear the temple snap into place. You may want to have an optician perform the attachment the first time just to see how it's done. Does the Sutro and Sutro S take the same lens? I see that on Oakley's website that the replacement lenses for both models have the same product code.

No, the lenses are different sizes.

The lens keeps poppingg out on mine. I feel like my frame is defective. I can get the middle latch in but when I go to put them on I can hear the lens pop out of the grooves on the frame. Anyone else have this problem??

Good question! The Sutro TI lens is a different shape lens to that of the Sutro and Sutro Lite. It will only work with the TI frame and is not compatible with other Sutro models.

Mine doesn’t push out like that
