MrGamingHouse - Please do get your history facts straight. It's only logical that each culture wore this hairstyle at some point for some reason. White people did have deadlocks as a part of their culture. The least you could do i read the Wikipedia section on dreadlocks "Locks have been worn for various reasons in EACH culture: as an expression of deep religious or spiritual convictions, ethnic pride, as a political statement and in more modern times, as a representation of a free, alternative or natural spirit."

I have very long, very straight hair and I did what she did in the video and it works great! I love mine!
The amount of time it took for one lock is far beyond what I have to spare.
Yessss!!! My hair is awfully straight and fine. I've wanted dreads forever but never thought my hair could hold them as it can't even hold curls. 😞. Unfortunately I couldn't do this to myself due to neck injuries which keep me from holding my arms up for too long. I'll have to find someone who could do this. I'm so happy I found this video. Thank you!!! ❤

OMG!!! I NEED SOME HELP... LOL! I feel like my hair's a mess... I don't know where to even start to get it back. My friend, who started my dreads, is gone and I can't find any good help to get me right! This creator makes it seem so easy to do, but it's really overwhelming. It's not him... He's a really good teacher! It's me... lol! Thanks for the positive directions and you really love what you do... I can see it!! The VIBES!!!
I see how simple it is now. Thank You ver much broski. Its even more lit now

I’ve been using this method on my chin. The latching crochet seems to loosen my dread up. No latch gets it tight but wild looking. Lots of loose hair with a rope in the center. I finally got one with a latch & im trying like hell to grab loose hair and pull thru but after 3 or 4 inserts, the whole thing loosens a bit.
Thanks man

BZ then what is it explain pls
@BZ1610
6 жыл бұрын
z alex depends on the type of loc you're going for. I know for Afro textured hair it's the easiest to form. You can legitimately just coil the hair using a finger or a fine toothed comb. That's how you start your locs. Then you neaten them as time goes on and more hair grows in. I've almost accidentally formed locs myself by leaving my finger coils in too long. I know that method won't work for someone with straight hair though. For people with straight hair, white people specifically, a lot of manipulation and possible damage must occur to achieve the "look" of locs. It also seems to become really matted together and tangled and really...dirty. In other cultures and religions, locs have a special meaning instead of just being stylish or trendy and to upkeep them is a lot of work and commitment

By Asian, do you mean Indian or Oriental? I've seen Indians with dreads before. Theres a huge Dub & Reggae scene in UK, and one of our local soundsystems (only big in the scene, not big worldwide like Iration or Aba-Shanti) was ran by an Indian Rasta. My dads mate used to run his own Reggae soundsystem around early 90's. He was the selector and his MC was another Indian Rasta. They don't seem to be as common as white-locks but I've seen a few around. Now, if you're talking ORIENTAL, then I've NEVER seen one, not even in the world of fiction, so there you have it!

Don't just stop brushing or conditioning your hair, look for a video about dreads. My brother had a mixture of finger coils and two strands twists to form his dreads and used Jamaican locking firm wax. He had touch ups about once every week or 2 weeks to make sure they kept their strength and shine. Also he still washed his hair when needed.

The light fluff along dread... Get lighter if u don't mind smell.. Quickly run along with lighter.. Singe the fluffy ends down.. Super neat.. A dread don't catch fire. If u accidently catch it alight haha it runs up the sides and again looks nice and neat tho I don't suggest leaving lighter long enough to set on fire... Hawaiins use a hot ember of a stick and run along like comb.
Here’s a simple way to get dreads with straight hair: don’t. Ps: before you guys say anything, I’m joking so relax.

Why do people want any hairstyle? Hair type doesn’t matter when it comes to dreads. ALL HAIR DREADS. I don’t get why black people think they own dreads when In fact it started in India and ancient Egypt. Guess what, those people have beautiful sleek hair. 😂😂😂 who cares about skin color or hair texture. Let people live with the hair they feel reflects their personality.
I don't have straight hair I just like your videos
Thanks you
