click on CC button if your audio isn't working there's audio in this video but left speaker audio is way lower than the right speaker for some reason. maybe my mic connection got loose when I was moving around in my car. sorry if someone can add cc that would be very helpful. I'll try to add CC when I get the chance after my son's birthday.

hey I have a dvd deck pioneer and I wanna hook up 4 monitors to use with the deck... can you explain how to run the power from the deck?... I need to use the deck remote wire so when the deck is on or off the monitors will turn on and off as well... my monitors have red and black wires and V1 and V2 video out... my question is how do I run the monitors to the deck remote... do I hook the red wire up to the deck remote?... help..

Great video your honest opinion do you think having the monitors powered by the cigarette lighter will in time cause problems? I did the same thing to my Charger when I installed my headrest monitors also my DVD player is an add-on and it to is being powered by the same cigarette wires. I don’t think it will be a problem cause it won’t be running all the time when I’m daily driving only used for road trips

Hi, do you not need to put a fuse in the power line?

I bought a BMW X3 with dvd headrests already built in but they don't work. It has one of those switches with the led light built in hardwired near the rear cigarette lighter. It keeps blowing the 20amp fuse for the cigarette lighter. Do you happen to know if its the inverter, switch, or cigarette lighter itself causing the 20amp fuse to blow? The dvd headrests have their own fuses which arent blown.

Gotta love Ford! I thought it was so cool that I could leave stuff plugged into my f150 and it would charge while I'm out and about. Until I started tweaking things and now we have a common problem. Lol

They also make a cigarette lighter port ps2 power cable that I feel is a little safer but this is a great video

Hi thanks for the info I think I’m going to have a go your video was really good just what I was looking for I’m going to try to fit the ps2 my son will love it I just hoped you could maybe advise me a little further I have two filter fuse boxes at the end of my wiring they have a black and a red wire going in to them at one end and then a red and a black wire coming out the other end The two red wires have been joined together and the two black wires have been joined together the red wire says +12v One of the fuse boxes has a extra set of black and red wires coming out of it with a plug connection on it. The system is used my big brother gave it me I think I should just take both sets of black and red wires and connect them to the cigarette lighter but what about this spare wire with the connection on the end do you think it’s just left over from it’s life in my brothers bmw Any advice would be great Lind regards Darren

Do you know how to wire the headrest to where they automatically power on instead of manually pressing the button. A shop in Dallas did that in my audi and u can't still figure it out!

Does the same process for the ps2 work for ps4

do you have to add the toggle switch? is there any current draw from these when the car is off?

massguy66 the switch is not needed. Wire to an ignition source (something that turns on and off with the car) and you are fine. If he went through the center console I would have gone to the ignition of the car under the steering column.

I'm having a very hard time with the wire going in a CRV 2009 model and the seats is there anything anyone can advise me they're not leather their cloth ' I'm afraid of hitting the airbag side I'm trying to stick more to the middle part or the opposite edge of the airbag side, I tried it with a hanger but it keep getting stuck about halfway down ' does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you ever get it done or do it?... I just bought the ol lady a set of active DVD players for her 12 overland summit... The battery is right under the passenger seat so we should be able to just hardwire them straight down to the battery... Correct??... Wad you figure out with your setup?

I installed a ps2 too

I cannot not exit the setup screen on my Sylvania portable car DVD player

this works with most cars but now with all. it won't work with my Volvo V50 for example. and this is due to the fact that the cylinder inside the seat (where you insert the head-rest bars, is closed at the bottom. so you can't run a wire/cable through it. if anyone has a solution for this, please let me know.

Putting at TV in a convertible. So hard to steal am I rite?

I would have skipped the switch and wired into the ignition under the dash. Use would be very simple.

thanks for the input, i checked the intro and it is louder than the rest of the video maybe that is why but i used same video edit vol settings. i used wireless mic this time, maybe volume setting on the wireless mic is too low. i can still hear the video's audio OK, have you checked the 3 volume controls OS system volume, speaker volume, youtube volume control?
