How to Install Windows on a Van | Sprinter Van Conversion

Windows are in! After overcoming the stress of cutting into the metal skin of the van, we had a blast while installing the fan and cutting two big holes for the windows.
We ran into some humps when installing the windows (like the screws heads breaking off on us!) but we managed to get sealed windows at the end. It looks great and really rounds out the exterior of our Sprinter van conversion.
We're one step closer to finishing our tiny house on wheels!

Oh, I actually prefer the window shape that you installed, it's kinda neat, and looks pretty cool. Great idea to use the wood trim and water testing. :-D

I installed the same windows in my t1n, I water tested and the frame to van seal is dry but the glass is leaking water into the frame. Have you had any of these issues? Thank you

We haven't had that issue, perhaps double check the weep holes and make sure the top ones are blocked off? Sorry we don't have more information to help
I think I have the same windows, so how does that spacer work... I don't understand where the screws come into it, what are their purpose? Should the plywood not be bonded onto the metal also, then you are screwing onto something fixed...

Throw the crappy foam tape away. Always use a liquid, paste adhesive sealant.
