Hey, thank you for the tip about the drip line under the window sill. I had been planning to make a window sill that tipped downward on the outside, but it definitely looks better your way.
This is wonderful!! Thank you. Most people don’t go into such detail!

If you're going to use concrete for the lentil then why can't you just use cob since it's basically the same thing?
I think I'll make lintels out of wood slabs straight off the chainsaw mill.
You often mention rebar. Why do you disregard fiberglass reinforcement as an alternative that doesn't rust?

I don't know where to buy it locally. Its probably more expensive than metal rebar too.
Thank you for sharing this was really helpful ~ if u see me commenting often I've been on a deep dive of cob and earthen materials.... This stuff is so interesting Do u have any additional notes for people using store bought windows that will open with screens? (vertically sliding, or hinged/hand crank) Most content I've found on KZread, people did not use open-able windows with screens. Most ppl I'm seeing used re-purposed/re-claimed glass. Lmk if there are differences that come to mind! Thnx

To clarify - I guess you could re-claimed a window unit that opens I meant NOT just glass
This is going to sound crazy but I saw a guy just put a raw piece of glass into a cob wall with it's only support being the cob. This used no wood and I saw nothing used as a lentil above the glass. I'm planning to go this route with all my non-opening windows.

Not yet a cob builder here but just out of curiosity... how can you fix it when god-forbid, it ever breaks ?

@@DukeTheSPO0K Alright, thanks.. love the simplicity of that.
How would you make arched doors or windows?

Use bricks, adobe blocks, or concrete/aircrete to do arches above doors or windows. Cob is not very good for arches, in my opinion.
bro check ur emails...

okay bro. Show some respect and maybe I'll look for your email.
You need to be better prepared in your material before you video your work, to avoid wasting our time

Thanks man. Your comment is a waste of everyone's time too because you don't tell me what the actual problem was.
