is it that you cannot select gpt? keep finding windows 7 iso's or see if you do have uefi or bios

How you install? On Fat32 and must change a files?

there is a newer version of Rufus, 3.11 does this make a difference or must it be v3.3 and I have several 64GB and higher Thumb drives. I have Win 7 x64 Ultimate on Official Windows CD as well as ISO file. I take it that it must be an ISO file.

Y u selected 1 folder in 4 folders and in my 12 folders available and if I do what u mentioned even win 7 loading error is coming before not doing this process,loading stopped at win logo prompt

folder 1 is "Windows Ultimate" the other folders are Windows pro, home, or enterprise. You can check with the command: DISM /Get-ImageInfo /wimfile G:/sources/install.wim

In rufus 3.9 after selecting any windows iso file i lose the ability to select GPT. MBR is the only option i have. I do have the gpt option on my linux iso files but not windows (xp, 7 or 8). Please help.

This is exactly the video I need. I can follow you all the way up to the 4:00 min mark, but no further, because blind people can not read black text on a white background. We need a dark theme. i.e. white text on a black background always. Maybe I can do a screen capture and invert it. If you're moving a mouse pointer around and selecting files, I can not see it.

SAME!!! I didn't try that tutorial yet but it was stuck in "Starting Windows" and it froze

I checked what my partition scheme is and its GPT, but I cant change it from MBR to GPT and Target system from Bios to UEFI... doesn't even give the option between the two. I can only choose Bios (or UEFI-CSM) as a target system and MBR as partition scheme...

Check whether your motherboard has uefi and bios enabled if yes then disable bios/legacy mode. Rest is same as in above video.

¿Does this work with UEFI and NTFS mode? , it's just that FAT32 it's not available when i try to use the rufus

i downloaded 2 different win7 x64 lite weight Os i cant use in UEFI because both are missing the efi folder and my bios does not support legacy both ISOs contain boot folders so i copied the contents and made a folder efi and added the bootx64.efi and created an Iso from the files and used rufus to burn to usb thumb drive, it boots but it fails with error 0x000000f .

Not working man, FAT32 with GPT not detecting at all while NTFS does detect, but the loading of the installer is stuck at the Windows logo I guess it's just my laptop's mobo

Doesn't work on my Asus laptop After installation and first reboot there's Loading on the screen and rebooting Immediately time after time..

What motherboard/CPU was used in the demo? Installing Windows 7 on an Intel LGA1200 CPU socket, ASUS Z490-A MoBo, regardless of BIOS settings, would not work. I appreciate your well-executed demo, though.

depends your hardware edit : but if i am right it's faster because windows 7 require less power, it's good for having an windows os on old pc without having a cpu going to 100% and 90 degres (intel celeron n4000 for me)

Mine one doesn't contain install.wim instead *.esd and inside it doesn't contain efi folder.. 😭😭

because this video is complete useless .. windows 7 will only work if your bios has a legacy mode option.

IN my rufus if i put a win7 iso rufus only alow me to use mbr not uefi ???i have the usb stick in gpt !

There's no way to choose UEFI & Fat32 format mode when you choose a 7 iso, you can do it just if you make a custom 7 iso before.
