In this tutorial, I will show you how to install Windows 11 in Virtual Box 7. The latest version of Virtual Box allows you to emulate TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, so you do not need to make any changes in regedit before installing the OS onto the VM!

Windows 11 in virtual box requires no license?
16 GB of RAM for Windows 11 wouldn't be overkill, as long as the PC is designed for gaming and/or you plan on creating multiple VMs.

I agree, it's not "overkill". I don't really like the way I worded that. 16GB of RAM on a Windows 11 VM might have some use cases. But I think that a lot of my viewers have PCs with 8 - 16GB of RAM so they wouldn't be able to allocate that much RAM to a VM. Also if you are needing that much RAM you might be better off using your host machine so you can utilize as much of the system's resources as possible.

i couldnt get it to go to setup, it asked me for the dvd and the dvd is in the system

You should press any keys to boot the win11 setup
If the vm is shut down does the hardware free up again to be used for the host os?

Virtual Box VMs are not good for gaming. The emulated gpu does not support directx or opengl so you won't even be able to launch most games.

For me when im installing it it just gets stuck in a purple screen mid when the install finishes
