    Thank you very much for your straightforward and easy-to-follow instructions. The weather-stripping on my front door is at least 20 years old. I've seen two spiders in my hallway recently and am pretty sure that's how they've gotten in. I've since sprayed the front porch, but really need to replace the weather-stripping. I'm planning on a trip to Ace or Home Depot this week!

    I’ve been stuffing strips of paper towels in my door to keep the cold out. I’m going to look this month and see what I can find before it gets cold. The original stripping was partially destroyed by my old dog, and the rolls of sticky back are crap.

    Great video - thanks! We have an old door like that but without a screen door, the stripping would be very visible - do you know if they sell types with different finishes (e.g., plain white) to minimize the visibility

    You may need a smaller size unit, they do make different sizes that extend down from the bottom of the door. Another thing is that it’s hitting your threshold underneath - hard to know for sure without seeing it. Good luck on the fix!

  • @ronilda2231

    @ronilda2231

    @@TheToughGuysTV yes it does hit the threshold underneath. I looked at smaller sizes and couldn't find anything. Was thinking of using a glue but kind of don't want to deal with glues underneath. Or maybe put some screws on it. When I hold it tight with my hand I can somehow close the door.

    @@TheToughGuysTV I hear you! Allthough our house is 30 year younger than yours, it also need a lot of TLC. Hubby and I like to watch DIY videos to learn how to renovate, build and repair so we at least can save a buck or two. It is costly to own a house! So again, thank you for your very easy-to-follow videos. Good luck with all your projects!

    I haven’t lived in the house but for a few years. Respectfully, I’ve spent upwards of $50k fixing all major systems of this property over that time, it’s a 90 year older house. The front door unfortunately took a backseat to major remodels and system failures. ✌🏻
