uDecor, I must admit you know what you are doing. All looked simple until trying to put into practice. I may be the only novice on the planet that got a little lost, but I did. I will echo Paul Prata's comment. Can you explain the cheat sheet a little more for the novice? Looked great.
After watching this video i am now ready to install chair railing in my son and daughter rooms. Might even do me and my wifes as well. thanks for the understanding.

We're happy to help!
Awesome video! My chair rail is thicker than my window fram as well, but I just decided to cut a 45 degree angle, longer side on the inside. My wife is cool with it so I'm cool with it haha. Couldn't have done my project without this video, thank you!
Excellent questions. Unless you want to relocate plugs, the outlets on your wall will play the biggest role in deciding the spacing of your boxes. I like to sketch out where everything is located and then plan it such that our boxes don't run through any outlets. The quantity of boxes is dependent on the wall length. If it is all going to be the same color I paint it with the same sheen of paint ... if you do that with the chair rail and boxes it makes it look like it is all 1 unit.
you are excellent! great job! you make it looks do simple,, my chair rail looks, well, like it was the first thing I ever tried to do in my entire life - kinda wavy here and there,,,, I think if someone is going to do their own trims, it would pay to get some great tools too,, and cut a bunch of wood to get used to it,, then try the trims,, finish carpentry takes sooo much experience and patience - love your work!

Great Video, Thanks for doing a great job. I do wish how the finish detail was completed (caulking, etc)
Very Informative...thanks
Ha, now I know what chair rail is !!!....called dado here in old blighty ;-)
wainscoting under window can creates good shape.
I have a question. I have a mitter saw that can do both 45 degrees cut right and left. Do I still need to put the flat moulding upside down? And why you put the piece upside down?
@uDecor awesome video!! quick question, what type of glue do you use for the chair rail? thank you.
Mmm internal mitres you could get shelves in those gaps:)
Thank you for the great video. I was wondering if it would be an issue to use crown molding as a chair rail?

Great question. It would be unusual to use a crown as a chair rail because you would need to put some sort of cap piece on top (in essence creating a shelf).
ive heard about this crazy thing called a cope joint...
Exactly which adhesive is best to use for this? Too many choices in the store. It is very confusing.
Hello, Can you answer two questions for me about shadow boxes installation. How do you determine the gap between the shadow boxes, and the size of the box?...is there a standard number or its solely dependant on length of wall. Also when painting the wall for shadow boxes, is the wall paint eggshell, and trim semi gloss
what do you think about easy crown molding product
Hello. I would like to know the model and make of your miter saw please.
How high off the floor is the top of your chair rail?
Why would you cut that on the flat? miters are more accurate. Is that polyurethane window casing? Something's wrong here.
how to use window casing for chair rail
Man this is too hard
Piece 5 and 6 should have a scarf joint

A great thing about polyurethane is that it doesn't grow or shrink. After many installs, butt-joints are working great.
Can you explain your Cheat Sheet a little more?
