no? They are saved and stored on your among us account. I also reinstalled it for multiple mods multiple times and it saved the cosmetics and all each time. Don't worry about it!

you can only play it with friends and people who also use it. You can't play it modded with people online who don't have the right mods.

The game can be started even if others don't have the mod, except the game ends instantly and everyone's role is shown to people with the mod (I think that's how it works)

I saw on one of Disguised Toast’s games that he used the mod and his friends didn’t have it but they could still play. So yeah, I think newer versions let you play with public lobbies.

If you are using epic games among us, you have to reinstall the main game in order to play classic again. If you are using steam version, It's easiest if you are using separate folders for each mod install, and keep your classic among us folder clean of any mods.
