Guys, check out min 3:40. Look at how the angles of the bars are facing each other. It’s not about just flipping it, you gotta put the gates correctly against each other. THEN it will fit perfectly.

You're very welcome! Kids safety products can get confusing and instructions are not always easy to follow. Add to that trying to fix and install it while watching a kid that may have not allowed parents to sleep it can be a high stress situation.

Please make sure your viewers can SEE everything you do. In some of your steps, you’re holding the pieces outside of the limits of the picture.

The direction that came with this gate couldn't be worse so thanks for this!! I only mounted the hinges and not the other side....so it sort of works as a hinged pressure mounted gate. I am using to keep 2 cats apart, so don't need the "safety" like it was babies. :)

So I set up the door on the pins from each side. Then slide the clips, slid right in. The key is to swap the gate doors. As in try it with the left door in front and right door behind. Then switch it, with right door in front and left door behind. It’ll slide easy on one of the ways. Wish I had a video to help!

IS this for the 1166 B DS model. The Amazon listing says no drilling required and easy to put in place and take down with wall mount.

For anyone trying to figure out the clamps for the top and bottom, try putting them on the last slot, closest to the side that doesn’t swing open.

@@legionswife1451The bottom should be the L shaped metal. It screws into the gate and drops into the connector on the wall.

My poor 1.5 yrs old niece will be locked up off the stairs that she love to play on! damn it, but for their babies own safety though haha, thanks for the upload man 👍🏼

Are there Regalo extra tall child & baby safety gates that are for hallways that can stop Great Danes from going in back bed room window to break through all the time that are like 5 foot tall by 2-3 inches wide like at all & if so how much would they cost at where do people go get them at ?.

The gate shown in the video can be mounted in a hallway and since the dog is fairly large it can be mounted higher to prevent the dog from jumping over it up to around 41 or so high. Gate Link: amzn.to/3h7IJmJ I found other gates that are compression fitted gates but they will fall over if a dog pushes on them of that size. Amazon, chewy, and PetSmart would be good to look, but everything I see is around 39 to 41 inches tall even for other brands. Good luck. The grooves on male connector are just to close. It will not fit or slide up easily.

@@cl8505 Been a minute.....but I think I just turned it around the other way. Stood in front of gate, grabbed hold of it. Did a 180 degree turn and tried it that way. Fit like a glove.

There is a triangle looking feature on the opposite side of the adjustment knobs. Make sure the flat side of that triangle is touching the other gate. Those triangle features need to be nice and flush on the other gates.

This thing is impossible our clips don't match

So I have the same problem and I figured out that once you put it to the door with the threading spool rods You adjust the threading school rods. And then it will align right and close. But if you try to do it before it's going to have that gap. Hope that helps.😮❤😊

I said screw the clips and got my own hardware I used ring clamps and now it’s strong I got the clips fully on and a month later the plastic ones fell off so if this helps anyone your welcome 11$ fix

my gate connectors put up a massive fight. they did not simply slide into place. bottom connector would fit easily in middle where "poles" were flexible but would pop out when it they got close to the top. it appeared that the poles where soldered/welded to top/ bottom piece were just a bit too far apart...

I'm sure this is much too late but I had same problem, here the one gate pc was upside down, once I flipped it they slid in perfect

Trying to set up but your fast forwarded video don't help, at least go slow for each step then fast forward

You bring up a good point as that was my first approach. My wife will not let us close the door so that we can hear our daughter and so that the room can stay at a good temperature. My daughter also gets scared when the door is closed and then ran towards the steps in the middle of the night where I caught her. So the gate is a compromise to keep her safe while keeping my wife happy.

@@serritawatkins8113 I used the extra piece of wood so that the latch did not hit the door jam. My wife was very specific regarding which direction she wanted the door to swing and she would not let me close the door.

Too dark to see the tiny pieces and the angle is off.. guess I’ll keep looking for videos. It helped a bit….

It’s not this easy. Like I’ve tried and tried, but the old school ones this one will make you scream. Zip tie the damn gate because I still can’t get the piece between the gate to just simply lock in, it’s not suppose to be this difficult. Waste of money, time and frustration and the instructions are so sparse it’s unreal. DO NOT BUY!

U have to flip the gates. I had same problem and once I had them right, they snapped into place.

Try lining up the rods otherwise they will not fit.

Poor tutorial in my opinion!

Assembling this is in violation of the us constitution which prohibits cruel and unusual punishment. How can they even sell it? This thing is a worthless peice of crap i want my money back

Thanks for the video, it helped a ton! The instructions for installation were absolutely terrible. Seemed like someone was given all the parts and had to make the instructions 1 hour before it was sent to manufacturing.
