How to Install Subwoofer in 2019+ Veloster N using Rockford Fosgate Powered Sub & AudioControl LC2i
In this video, I show how to install a subwoofer in 2022 Hyundai Veloster N.
*In the video, I show combining the positive signal wires and negative signal wires coming out of the amp and running a single wire to the LC2i. I found this didn’t provide the strongest signal possible to the LC2i. I had to split the wires and run two single positive and negative wires to the LC2i.*

Excellent video! Only hiccup I encountered was on a Canadian manual model that perfect spot for a firewall penetration does not exist! But I got a 1/0 gauge through near there. Not overly fun haha! And also I did a big 3 which was actually quite easy compared to some others I’ve done. This video has excellent info! Thanks for putting this together!

Interesting! No idea why the difference but there’s no space by the large drivers side grommet of my car like yours. A large cylinder/plunger attached to the clutch pedal are is in the way and exits there into the engine bay. I got it through regardless but fun with 0 gauge! Thanks again!

You’re able to keep the factory sub, but the new sub will just over shadow its sound.

If you tap in to the factory wire you don’t have to throw new wires to the factory sub? The factory one will do the work?
So, that portion of the firewall you drilled through is where the clutch is in 6 speed models. Do you have any recommendations?

Do you have a space below the main wire harness that’s entering the car? That would be another good place.
If I’m not mistaken why use the lc2 or any loc when that Rockford model has a built in amp that accept speaker live wires? I also have one just not installed yet, but I’ve noticed you could slide the input level to “hi” for speaker wire level instead of RCA. Is there a downside to it that I’m missing?

You are correct, the Rockford subwoofer does have a built-in LOC, but I’ve found using the LC2i gives a better signal to the subwoofer and adds the benefit of AccuBass, which helps with integrating a subwoofer with a factory system.
Hey man question on ecu removal I noticed there is a smaller tab in the middle of the larger plastic 2 levers Are you supposed to push that down as you lift up on the lever?

That’s a good question. Yes, you need to push the small tab in the middle of the lever to get it to lift. The tab locks the lever down in place.
Does this keep the factory sub intact?

You can run the factory sub along with the aftermarket sub if you’d like. Simply don’t cut the subwoofer wire, just tap into it. I chose not to run both, as the aftermarket sub would be drowning out the factory sub.
