I miss the times when replacing laptop hard drives was easy as unscrewing just one screw then removing a small cover behind the laptop

Можно, вместо DVD привода. Для этого нужен переходник, карман 7 мм

Iv just installed a 500gb evo 860 ssd, from a 1tb Hdd that only used 150gb. Turned on the laptop and it says iv only 180gb of space left on my ssd, and also its still slow as shit! Any ideas what iv done wrong or what i should be doing? Much appreciated

Did you format it? Or try to reinstall Windows

The laptop is just old, no amount of SSD action will save it from Windows 10 and 11 bogging down that processor and low amount of RAM. Try to bump it up to 8 gigs of ram and attempt a Linux installation to get the most out of it.

@@josephwhittaker2065 Yes, the laptop is pretty old. Think I bought it in 2016. Still looks brand new, as iv only really used it for configuration of drones, and planes via betaflight and inav. The max ram it will take is only 4gb. Which I know is crap compared to today's standards. But apart from that, there's nothing wrong with it. How would i go about wiping windows and installing Linux? I have personally thought about Linux a few years ago. Cheers mate
