Thanks. Also if anyone is using the Epic Thunder sound mod then you have to enable "yes" for the use of looping gun sounds, or just enable yes on everything

every update ruins a mod one way or another, use mods that are recent from update Fire and Ice up till the Apex predators update

The sound design is up to the mod dev themselves, so in the settings of the mod in the fmod studio, they set the volume. Clearly bro forgot to lower it, or the mod is outdated, which is most likely the case here

quick question... a couple months ago i was using the non steam version of wt and the sound mods worked fine however a few weeks ago i switched to steam due to my wt not loading in so i switched and realized i didnt have my sound mods anymore. I finally took the courage to watch your video again and relearn how to add my sound mods and did everything that you had instructed in the video. It... did not work for some odd reason. I rewatched the video 3 more times and did the same exact thing step by step but it still did not work... please help me with this issue if you know.

Whenever I install a mod, all the gun firing, crew lines, and music disappear. Is there a way to prevent this issue? I'm on Steam so that might make a difference

I'm not 1000% certain, but Gaijoob has a tendency to break the game whenever they update things. In theory all sound mods should work, however gaijins coding makes it not so. Using recently updated mods is the surest way of getting what you want.

Replace the stuff inside the mod folder, depends on the mod, you would need to change the blk file, but not always

you can't mix for example 2 tank mods together, because they have different assets, back before danger zone you could do that, however now mixing sound mods of the same type (like tanks with tabks) is a bad idea and will result in problems. If you want to mix say a crew and tank mod, that would work fine, put them in the same 'mod' folder and it should work, as long as the mods are bother up to date.

you can do it by reducing all of the aircraft engine sounds yourself, but that is a pain to do, and no, by design planes are loud, complain to gaijin lol

Uhhhh, so, what type of sound mods were they? If for example, it's music and crew voices, those are okay to mix together, since they don't interfere with each other. However, if you say, put in 2 tank sound mods, they will override each other and make problems. Can't have both of the same thing, gotta pick one.

my config file is a lot different, as in video, graphics etc. are in a different order. Any advice on what i should do?

graphics and order doesn't matter, as long as the sound block of the script is there, add those lines where it should be placed

It depends on the crew voice mods in question since not all have been updated, but uh, they could be just super quiet, turn up the volume settings and see if that does anything, also my sound mod, RWSM does not feature any crew voices

i have done everything correctly but the mod does not function i have tested mutiple sound mods making sure to only have one of each in the folder to make sure i can test the mods properly and not a single one worked i bet its because of the patchs but as of 2023 i cannot tell if its because of the patchs or the mods not being updated. to clarify ill use one sound mod delete all the data when it doesnt work to try another mod and repeat the process sadly none worked i really wanted GUP to work but honestly just give me back the satisfying CLANK sound effect the old 122mm used to make

Nope, voice lines are outdated and I don't intend to update those in the future. Delete those crew files and run with only music.

Update for the mod is being worked on, and, it is one of the 3 aircraft music banks, gotta find which one yourself

i literally got the sound mod working and after test driving one vehicle the game crashed on exception. war thunder doesnt allow me to have fun

Everyone should have one, if you can't find it, search it up in the search bar, if it doesn't appear there, run a debug check in the launcher/steam so that it restores files, alternatively, change your sound settings like speakers, should create the file that way

Doesn't work for me. I did everything and even added in the missing text from the blk file and nothing.
