Got a P2442 code about a month ago. Engine light and traction control light on dash. Cleared it with my scanner. Code came back last week. Following day egine and traction light were no long lit. Truck runs fine. I did by a new valve from Don Valley North Toyota but have not yet installed it as i currently have no codes or engine lights lit. So...i pretty sure im going to buy this bypass kit. I have a 2010 4.6 2wd SR5. Thanks for the video. I hope the bypass kit can survive our winters.

Got a 08 and have one tge bypassing kit on .but the check light still on. Code p2436 secondary air injection system sensor bank 2.. i haven't drove it an hour though so i domt kno if i did anything else wrong

I have a 2007 4.7L Tundra. The SAIS failed twice with me first at 135k miles which was replaced under warranty and again at 255k miles. I got the same kit you did the valves for my truck are bolted on the valve covers and the connections that lead to the pipes were further back against the back of the engine bay. There is a pigtail you can get that disables the the pressure sensors in the valve getting them allows you to remove the valves from your truck but cost another $200 USD for each valve. The bypass kit was worth every penny. The module that you replace is the drivers for the SAIS

I seen your comment and I was wondering the same thing about him reinstalling those bypass units. I have an 09 Sequoia I'm doing the valve covers, spark plugs coil packs and all that crap. Taking these units off cut me to pieces. Mine's not throwing any codes whatsoever but I wanted to get rid of this crap so I don't have to do it again. I watch the previous video from Hewitt and he said that he was sourcing these from Japan the bypass pressure sensors,$200 each, if you got those for your vehicle, did you pay attention to the part numbers on them because I'd like to buy them but $200 each is a little pricey. Any help would be appreciated.

@@perry5598 I never got the pressure sensor pig tail and just left the SAIS valves on. I didn’t want to spend another $400 if I didn’t have to

@@SeahawkAz thanks very much for getting back to me I really appreciate it, I still got mine tore all apart waiting on some parts to get here, I'm 68 years old and 100% disabled so this is tearing me up. I'll do some more research and see if I can find out those part numbers thank you

No emissions here but still, all my cars are 100% smog compliant 😉

Although you are technically bypassing an emissions device, when it's installed and running correctly there are no codes. So I don't see why it wouldn't pass. Currently we have no emissions inspection here in Ontario currently so can't answer that question 100%
