Although I have not tried any of the installs you mentioned, it looks and sounds so easy to do. Thank you for the clear and detailed explanation.
So if you just need one or two tracks to cover breakage in long hair, you could probably take the clip-ins out, shampoo, and then reinstall yourself since the beads would already be in the correct spot.
This is what I need for my side area that doesn’t have bangs where I sweat at. I’m going to do this before my trip in a few days thank you!!!!!

You can use the rubber bands but they won't hold as well, and you have a big chance of them breaking in the middle of dinner, while brushing you hair, etc. the beads are possibly healthier for long term.
