You can mount multiple led light bars in your truck here in Nevada and the law won't do anything, very brightly annoying when people use it within the city limits
Great video One question please. If you want to add more accessories can you connect to the battery on top of the ones you already connected. In other words how many accessories can you add to the battery terminals. Thank you very much

How would I put some of these on my 1995 xr250r. Thanks your videos are great I’ve been using them on my xr250

In order to run auxiliary LED lights you have to install a battery.

@@WeekendAdventureRides would that convert it to work with a led bulb?
i bought the same setup and installed on 2022 Africa twin, everything went well for first 10 min and then one side light stopped working all together, Not sure whats the issue, the wires are good, any suggestion?

Multi meter and check that the light is getting power. Start at the light and work backwards.
Why have a separate switch? Connect it to the high beam switch thru a relay and the fuse as near to the battery as possible....
@WeekendAdventureRides

For me it is better to not cut into the wiring on this specific bike. But I like your idea to have it integrated into the highbeam switch. For my current build or future ones I would consider this method.
How would you adapt the wiring so they can only be switched on and off if the ignition is on?
@WeekendAdventureRides

You would use a multimeter to find 12v ignition power. It would be slightly more complicated. It's not uncommon tho, have to test wires and turn the ignition on and off to find a wire.
Do you think the light will drain the battery?

You did not connect the automotive relay right ??
@WeekendAdventureRides

It's a mechanical switch. No relay.
As these are wired directly from the battery, could a kid just turn them on?
@WeekendAdventureRides

I suppose so. I don't have any kids BUT It would be possible to wire them to the ignition switch.

Could I take a live feed from the indicators or similar, what gauge wire is needed, any video links for wiring into ignition.

You could tap into your harness and find a switched wire, but first check if you have a free slot on your fuse box and use it to create a second circuit with a relay and second fuse box. Makes it much easier to add the lights and other accessories in the future, and they’ll be switched, so it never drains your battery.

They have not failed yet
Hi I am a total novice when it comes to electronics so i am going to ask probably a silly question I just bough myself a KTM 390 Adventure and it has spare dedicated auxiliary ports ( 2 wires only on each pos & neg i assume) I also know that these ports have their own fuse. So that would give me the power to the lights But i don’t know how to incorporate a switch 🥴, if i hook up a pair of lights like you did. Plus, do i need to incorporate a relay 🤷♂️ What is the actually relay for? The lights i purchased have only a red and black wire and so i am stumped as to install them with a switch ( i will buy a switch for these shortly) Anyway hope i made myself clear where my problem is 😬, as said..i got no idea 🤷♂️😂 Thanks for the video and i hope you can answer my question

I would run a dedicated wire from the battery and not cut into the wire for the aux ports. You'll want to be able to charge devices with those. You can find wiring kits with switches online. That way they have there own dedicated fuse and your not robbing amps from anything else. The switch will go in line from the power source to the lights. You really dont need a relay, it's basically a switch.

I’m new to all this too, but if the lights are directly connected to the battery with only a switch in between and no relay to something like an ignition or gps unit would that not provide potential for you to accidentally leave lights on and drain the battery when bike isnt running? Wouldn’t a relay make it so power only goes to the lights when the bike is running?? Thx for the video!
FYI. The switch with the wiring kit is not weatherproof at all. It’s open in the back.
