If you want better results from that exhaust manifold, get another in as good of condition as possible and contact a company named Extrude Hone. They run a proprietary grit paste under pressure through the manifold. It cleans up cast iron impurities really well. Plus you retain the cast iron manifold for durability. A good aftermarket manifold costs good money. From memory I want to say it's only around $150 for an internally honed manifold. Then just use flat rate shipping to keep the cost low.

Thanks for the video, i now have a bit more confidence for installing my K24 hybrid swap next spring. I was unaware of the coolant pipe clearance issue until I saw this video. I'm still a little confused where to plumb all the coolant lines and my car came with a stainless line kit, but i haven't really looked closely at it yet. Nice 850 by the way, I have a C70 coupe but I've always liked the older 850 wagons and sedans better.

krudmuphinstudioz if your car is 1994-1998 you will need the RN coolant pipe which came in any turbo car after 98. Coolant lines from the s60r will bolt up

@@omarplat334 My car is a 98. I have two of the older style coolant pipes so I will see if I can modify one first, as mentioned in the video. Unless there is another reason to get the RN pipe instead?

krudmuphinstudioz if you can modify it go for it! I swapped to the RN pipe as well as the RN oil pan which has a built in oil cooler (got to delete my leaky oil cooler lines)

Hello there. One question. Can i upgrade turbo on v 70 first generation,mine is atmosphere motor,but i have the other one just with turbo and that one cant be registered so i wanna replace from that one to atmosphere motor. So ot can be or not?

What downpipe did you used?I have a p2r downpipe would that work with the s70? Lol I had a p2r there wasn't room like I see on the s70

This will not work in the C70 lpt or any of the 2.4 lpt models. Only the hpt models. Different compression ratios. Lpt has a low pressure turbo and high compression engine. K24 on an lpt system would make the engine go pop.

I am looking for a k24 myself. But I can't find one for a decent price. Could you point me in the direction of where to look for one? The exhaust manifold also if you can. I have an xc70 2005 production year. But the block is the same, also looks very similar to yours, although I have less space at the back.

Sorry for the late response. For some reason I never got the noticfication lol...I bought my k24 turbo off of LKQ online (junkyard) for $212 shipped to my door with a working used part warranty👍. Search up the vehicles that have the k24 from the factory which are: -04-07 s60r/v70r -05-09 s60/v70 T5

How does the 540i maf work??? It has a built in particulate filter or??

It helps allow the measurement of more air mass, hence giving you more room to upgrade for more power

got a 03 s60 2.5t all stock i want to run a k24 turbo on my setup. so i need 650cc injectors k24 turbo off a s60r s60r manifold cut off that section of pipe and weld it 2 inches back and bmw 540i mafs rest of stuff can be used off my stock car?

No, you will not need to cut and weld the pipe, since your car has the oil cooler on the pan. The earlier p80s did not.

Bradley Ryan all you will need is the turbo, intake pipe the two oil and two water lines, possibly the water pipe but I’m not too sure. And then all the supporting mods like MAF and injectors (talk to your tuner about supporting mods and what to get).

Do you have green injectors as well?

​@@omkaradearaujo3584 it won't work with the 2.4 without a lower compression ratio. I have the same issue. I'm planning on getting a 16t instead of the stock 13t that's on the 2.4. the k24 is too large for our S70s unless you do a lot of modifications.

Quincy Robertson it is the engine coolant pipe at the back of the motor. Slides into the water pump and bolts onto the head. I like to call it the Engine Water Pipe
