bro i use same method with jdk 20 and after that when i run java --version it gives me this error Unrecognized option: --version Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

at first it didn't work because i forgot to close the java installation(the one with the next step button & close java) after closing it actually worked in the command prompt, i got scared for a second there. anyways, thanks man!!! really appreciate you doing this you helped a lot of people like me!!

WOW, after lots of search to find a fix for my problem with Java, your site is the only one that actually solved my problem. BTW, I originally deleted all signs of Java before trying to install the latest update. I think I lost "Java Home" in the process. Thx so much

I am not able to get the jre-19 folder in C:Program files>Java. there is only one folder named jdk-19. I am getting an error in springboot saying cannot load configuration class and I need to reset the installed JRE explicitly. But the folder is not available.

Successfully installed java, edited environment variable fields also, but in the command prompt it is showing that Error: could not find or load main class __version caused by : java.lang.classNotFoundException: __version

Followed step by step but receiving 'error: file not found: HelloWorld.java' when trying to create the class. Any ideas? ETA - Figured out I had hidden extensions. Once I disabled that setting, I was able to update the file extension to .java and everything worked as expected.
