We are The Sunride Tribe! A little family of vanlifers (Katie, Heidi, Kitt, Buzz, Sumo, and The Brave Little Toaster) who are currently converting our 2013 170" Sprinter (Baymax) for full time living on the road, where we will leave it all behind for vanlife and head to Alaska and beyond! Yes, thats right, two humans and four dogs in a van!
We love all things outdoors, and when we aren't working to get the van ready we are taking it on little weekend adventures. We are 100% funding this van build ourselves and hope to leave the driveway debt free when the time comes.
We've decided to film this adventure with the hopes of sharing our ups and downs of our van conversion and van life with those who may be interested in #vanlife, or those already living it. We post weekly videos every Sunday, and share the in-between time on our Instagram page @sunride_tribe. We hope to provide you with a real-world look of what its like working on, and living in, a van.

Nicely done. I am curious if you can travel with the locks in the open position- particularly for the sliding door. Seems like it would be a pain to have to exit the cab to unlock the slider when making stops, i.e. for gas or other places.

@@Sunridetribe6 No problem removing the key? According to the website it says the key is not removable in the open position.

The only time we have had any issues is if it has a lot of dirt caked on it. Once we give it a quick clean they are good to go! When they are in the open position they can be locked. Hopefully that helps.

Since the key hole is visible, is it easy to unlock the Heo lock using a screwdriver?

We haven't tested that out. This is another level of protection that is intended to keep people moving on and/or to slow them down. It gives us peace of mind when we leave our vehicle.
