Just know extended panel can not be out forward facing. Read the manual for install.

You'll have to put the foot tray in, as it is rear facing only. Otherwise not a bad install. Be sure to take out the infant padding, check the weight limits on your forward recline, and only check for movement at the belt path.

You also have to use recline 4 for a child under 40lbs and over 40lbs the recline has to be on either 5 or 6. Foot trey can not be used forward facing.

The answer to your question is that kids under 40 lbs need to be reclined if the seat can’t be fitted rear facing

This really helps me because I was always nervous. Mine wiggles a bit so I used that short extension but it only clicks on one side so I’m now trying to get an extension (its so short it doesn’t fit in any car). But I’m glad I saw this because it meant I was doing it right , although my husband insists that I (me, not him) go to the fire station for help.

Thank you! The instruction manual didn't mention you were supposed to tighten while still pulling on the seatbelt! I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.

What about the other anchor straps on the side do you not need them for front facing?

The vehicle manual determines if the top tether goes under or over the head restraint, or if the head restraint can be removed.

This is installed incorrectly. The foot tray is for rear facing only. You need to take the infant bottom insert and head support out (it is only allowed to be used rear facing) and the harness covers need to come off (also only allowed rear facing). Please find a CPST to help you install your seat.

You need to recline her back by pulling the recline in front of the seat but also remember she can only recline back to #4 #5 and #6 when facing forward the rest are for rear facing

What do you do with the clips that were used to hook it up rear facing? Now they just hang there. Do you not use them to hook it up front facing too?

Yes you do use them you have to pull it threw one side the side that will let you pull it the you lift one side of the seat covering and you slide the clips up and place them threw the back open sides then clip them back into the seat

@@kathleennasvaderani9244 hey Kathleen , when you take all the covers off . You can drag the clips up to the back slots where the seatbelts are . Make sure they aren’t tangled up . And it sits farthest back against the car seat so it doesn’t get in the way of any of the other straps .

What happens if I want to put the car seat in the middle?

Lost my instruction manual so this helped me. Figured out the seat belt part myself after about 5 minutes, but not the latch. Thanks for this.

You have to use the forward facing belt path. You can use latch for forward facing as long as the child is 45 lbs or under. You just have to reroute it for the forward facing path

Unfortunately the extender tray cannot be used in forward facing

You’re pulling on the lap/shoulder belt. Don’t lock the seatbelt until it’s buckled. It’s easier to not have to hold the locked shoulder belt. Be careful not to let it retract too quickly as it can switch the retractor back to unlock.

How do you adjust the straps for the shoulders? It’s too tight for my little one.

Mario Mario. The head rest adjust up and down and the top of the head rest should be 1 inch or more above the top of your lil ones head! But that also adjust the shoulder harness to allow ample room for your kiddos shoulders

There’s actually a button where a strap falls inbetween there legs u push that same time u pull the straps it gets longer

The manual tells you on page 49, "DO NOT USE the leg extender forward-facing."

@carseatlady is in expert in this. This dude clearly didn’t read the manual.

You shouldn’t lower the headrest to where it pushes the seat forward and per the manual in the Ford facing position, the extension in the front should not be pulled out

Lap belt only goes across your lap. Shoulder belt goes across shoulder and lap. Just saying... how can I trust what you're saying if you don't know the difference between a lap belt and a shoulder belt?

Jasmine LeAnn until at least 2 years of age. This particular seat goes up to 50lbs rear facing. My 3 year old just turned forward facing a couple weeks ago.

As long as possible! It’s the safest for kids to rearface as long as possible. This seat is great it goes up to 50lbs rear faced (average age of 5 depending on child.) facebook.com/groups/carseatsafety2. This group is so great for car seat questions! The manual says rear facing is 4-50 lb and forward facing is 22-65 lb Also says your baby must be able to sit upright unassisted in order to be forward facing

I hate to be this guy but you overlooked a very important step which is to slide the straps that lock into the car's actual seat.

I don't see what it could hurt, but the istruction manual says "DO NOT USE the extension panel forward-facing."

It may depend on the car. For my vehicle, the latch was not required. I would suggest reading the manual or contacting Graco's customer support just to be sure.

No, it is not.

Your car literally has the attachment points to not use the seat belt. You can see in the video the markings on the the the adult seats

When I installed mine I can't use recliner

you forgot to adjust the latch straps

You're supposed to take off the headrests when using car seats

No you dont. Not all cars are equipped with removable head tests.

Yeah, instruction booklet is horrible, doesnt even tell you where to attach the tether....

This install is somewhat misleading. This install is only for vehicles that do not have the "bars" that you can clip into with the straps that come with the car seat, in this video you see it clipped in the section for the rear facing set up. That strap slides up the seat to the other holes for the front facing position. I would recommend using those over the seatbelt configuration if you can.

Room Sweep police aren’t car seat certified. Join car seat safety group on FaceBook and ask them for help or use their website and find a cpst in your area

Not trying to be rude but you should really take this video off if your not going to go into detail about the age of the child your placing in this car seat because you left out very critical info that is needed

I have the same one, and I hate it, so uncomfortable! baby seat belt falls, every time on seat, need to be fixed all the time, trash!

The extender should only be used in the rear facing position.

Putting your knee and weight into the seat is no longer recommended and the tray is for rear facing only. 🤗

Both head and body insert should be removed , foot tray needs to be in , youre testing for movement the wrong way only test at beltpath. Please do proper research before uploading videos on KZread because you’ve now shown people how to install the seat unsafe and their child could be hurt in a crash and you could have a lawsuit.

Why not use the appropriate latch..most people dont need this as most vehicles now have had latches already

Because depending on the weight limit of the latch, highest being 65lbs for most vehicles, the weight of the child plus the car seat can exceed that.

If you’re gonna make a tutorial video on something as important as a car seat installation, please make sure you’ve read the manual. 🤦🏼‍♀️ You’ve got several unsafe errors in your installation!

There are a lot of inconsistencies in this video. I dont trust thos bone head.

Never put your weight in a car seat! It’s meant to only hold 50lbs not anymore than that!

Thats only for protecting a child in the seat and has no bearing on installing it and putting your weight on it to make sure its secure.
