I was not so sure to buy a Redmi Note 12 Pro (since it only comes with china rom) because I heard bad comments, but with this video It helped me a lot to review what can be done. I'll post again when having the phone working on google play. Thanks!

Just download the Original Chinese ROM and use Mi flash tool and lock the bootloader check my other video. Please note that once you lock the bootloader you might not be able to unlock it again because the phone has been linked already to a different Mi account who 1st unlocked the bootloader.

Did you try while using a VPN set to UK or US like he mentioned in the vid, maybe that's necessary?

@@hailstrum I did and still the same and I have pretty good and reliable VPN. I also tried with Google installer, still no luck. Play store is installed but when you open it just closes itself. I have new Redmi Note 12 5G.
