You can install in hero hawk. Both 6 and 7 speed are OK, you may choose based on your requirement and budget.

I have heard some feedback that replacing the single speed freewheel with multi-speed freewheel will de-shape the cycle frame. And having done this customization, the chain will come off frequently while riding the cycle. Is it a good idea to add gears to a normal cycle?

No it does not work with aluminum alloy frames. It will damage it.

You may change only back , it would be sufficient. Altus may cost you around 3k, problem is gettimg geniune product.

I went back to that shop in Ludhiana but that bike was sold & then we all know in last year lockdown there was shortage of bikes for a long time , so I had not any choice that time , will be upgrade after 1 or 2 years now ,,

Little bit adjustment is required in discbrake side , one washer may be required to be removed . Baki maine bhi disc brake wali cycle me hi kia hai installation
