How have these held up? A lot of the Amazon reviews talk about the paint peeling off

I have one for my 2004 tacoma with the resonator inside. It has a little grumble to it. Got it from auto zone, same brand name.

I personally don’t know any but I’m sure there are other KZread’s that cover this. The RAV4 itself is a small engine and even smaller if you have the cut. Even with exhaust tips, there is a muffler that prevents the sounds you want.

Sad you didn't show what the new exhaust tips look like directly from the rear view. We just saw the angled view of them.

Is it possible to have them further in so they stick out even less? I have ripped one of mine off already while offroading and was hoping to have them stick out less if possible haha

You can have them in more. Up to where the elbow starts. Will be less visible but I totally understand you. Lol

Has anyone tried removing the originals, painting them (hi-temp) black, and reinstalling? I wonder if they'll be secure after reinstallation. Now that I know they don't change the sound, why spend $44 on two new tips? Great video. Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing Tim, they have high temp paint that is used on gas grills that should work.

Hey. Good thinking there. I have not seen any issues with heat. There is about two layers of isolated metal with air before the heat would have a change to get near the bumper.

What's the benefit? Other than just "look cool"?

None. Purely just looks.

Update: I can concur that there is no extra sound with these. Very easy DIY in just a few mins for each one. 8 months later and still look great, shows no wear or fading of color.

How much horsepower does it add? haha jk. It looks good but no idea why DC Sports put a resonating chamber on its tips. Ah well....

One of mine were stolen..... I can't believe they are not welded on....

Should of showed part # instead of quickly ripping off label

Toyota was pretty inexpensive also, part #PT2264221012. Would also recommend adding a good coating too (eg ceramic)
