How To Install Drainage | Onsite #26
We're proud to be working in collaboration with OB1, supporting the youth of today: www.ob1original.com
In this episode, Tony and the team show you how to install drainage and an inspection chamber in the rear garden. While Pete and Alex are hard at work digging out and installing the interior T-sections, Tony uses the Yanmar Vio17 to excavate, making space for a new manhole to lay the new sewer pipe connecting plastic soil pipe to clay using a Flexseal AC4000 connector (which Tony refers to as a 'Q' AC4000) with the new drain connection in place.

You need to do an episode in that voice , I don't believe it! Haha
i spend 8hrs a day laying bricks for a living and ere i am watching MORE construction....
Your impression was top notch! These are serious amounts of soil and MOT! I was fascinated by the attention to detail when it comes to drains, those turds will have the smoothest wildwater slide experience ever 😂

😂😂 all the best Tony 👍 have a awesome week
It looks like a very efficient operation, well done.
Great job mate, it's nice to see another joiner like myself who enjoys laying drains and is as particular about them being as exact as their joinery work.
Waste pipe is very therapeutic to work with. 😊 At least when you're installing fresh clean stuff 😂 Great to see professionals who are passionate about doing stuff properly 👌
Loved the Attenborough voice over, however, Pipe work been therapeutic, its just a pipe dream Tony. Great video watching you guys progress. Thanks for sharing, stay well.
Top job on the drainage there guys. I see so many drainage jobs done poorly so it’s refreshing to see so much care and attention to detail like you’ve done here!

Hi Sam much appreciated, hope you are all well mate and super busy, have a awesome week all the best Tony 👍
That's got to be the most organised residential site I've ever seen!
After we’ve jut redone all the drive and had bag after bag of mot and sand , helpful tip that delivery driver gave me was just slice the bag corner to corner diagonally it comes out in one go and almost instantly , lot easier 👌🏻

Love watching your quality workmanship!!
Attenborough spot on😁 Great video thanks. 👍👍
I almost fell off my lunch chair today 😂😂😂😂
Hi Tony and the boys. Wow what a week. The detail and perfection on the drainage that no one will see is amazing. The person who taught you how to use a digger Tony sorry forgot his name. Must off been one hell of teacher because you are just perfect on it in my opinion anyway. Well done guys have a good week 👍

Hi John much appreciated Robbie Moore legend digger driver and amazing carpenter builder now all the best Tony 👍
Can’t improve on perfection Tony
Excellent work as usual... Shame the drainage wont be seen, although you will know its perfect I have a question for you regarding growing the business (dont know if it will make a popular vid? ) Basically for most of my self employed ive done smallish jobs re-roofs, internal alterations ect where a 3 gang has worked well to keep up with the work load. However ive started taking on bigger projects like loft conversions and extensions. Still the same quality of work but I cant get through the jobs quick enough. I obviously want to smash through the jobs but also want to make sure that the quality stays the same and be onsite myself. If you have got any tips that would be excellent 👍

Hi Marren this is a great question, growing a business is a very big step to take, a lot of people really don’t understand it because of the additional responsibilities that come with it. Please feel free to come and see me or call or email me and I can talk to you about this in detail because it’s to much to put into words and we can look at your business now and understand how big you want to take it all the best Tony 👍

It's a shame to hide such beautiful work underground, but at least you know it's right. The amount of fall on the pipes is appreciated but at 20:18 it looked like there was a step with, I should imagine, two opposing 45 bends. Do you do that to get rid of excessive fall?

@@BuildWithAE Not enough snippets were gleaned from the first viewing, so have watched another couple of times. When you lined the longest run through, so that it was perfect, what sort of distance do to plan for, for the side feed vertical distance from their respective walls, which have yet to be built. Do you aim for a general gap to the wall or is each one dependent on what type of wall finish will eventually be used. In the summing up of the three damp membranes, would you use the same gauge for each such as 300mu/1200g? or is each one different. Thanks for providing such fantastic content.
why 3 layers of dpm? seems like overkill
