Ok, we had soooooooo much trouble trying to get bell part to click with the mounting. But I think I may have an idea.... When we took the "seal" off the mounting, the two pieces came together like a charm!! So, my husband and I are thinking the "seal" is actually just packaging and not necessarily supposed to be part of the mounting process.... I'm no blink expert, so take what I say with grain of salt. But, it WORKED ! Wish y'all the best!

As for as "Wired or Wireless", the doorbell is only powered by the batteries. If you connect it to the existing doorbell wiring, you can get it to activate your existing house doorbell.otherwise, you only get a chime on your phone when the doorbell button is pushed.

@@chiquitawhitley7659 I followed the instructions and have it operating on my blink app and alexa. The video shows only on the blink app (so far). I'm still not sure why I need the sync module unless I have other blink devices. Definitely a learning curve...

the small screws with kit went through the back plate holes and the wedge holes but then would not actually screw in. Any ideas?? its like they need to supply a longer screw???

Attaching the doorbell to the mount is a little difficult but once it locks into place it seems extremely sturdy. kzread.infoUgkxxHZwMa8CsRjYhf9s4W8w0Dwm47uytWOp I replaced my regular doorbell with this and hard wired it in, using my existing wires and mechanical chime. It works perfect so far and integrates perfectly with my blink camera system. It also works seamlessly with Alexa

What if you already have internet at home can you just hook the blink up to your internet connect without buying the square blink.

You do not need the blink module. The doorbell works fine as a stand-alone but you do loose some features

The thin rubber piece that wraps around the inside of the mount piece! Remove that!

Do not remove the seal. Read your instructions so the clips and holes line up. Check how to do it before installing. You have to push down pretty hard to get it to snap in place.

Will this work with command strips? If you’re renting an apartment and don’t want to screw holes and all.

After you wire it and press the bell does the whole chime go throughout the whole house like the old bell or is it strictly on your phone?

It only goes throughout the house if you are using it with a wired system (I.e.: replacing a standard doorbell with a chime throughout the house). If you’re not using a wired system then it will only chime on your phone.

When you press the doorbell will the Chime work off an existing chiming unit?.

Do you have to use that piece to unmount it. I can't find it and I need to resync the doorbell

You can also heat up the silicone seal and it installs easier.

No. The anchors are for going into brick or stone

Does the module need to stay connected at all times once you have the door bell set up?

Can you arm some of the devices and not all of them in your system? Ie..I want the doorbells/outside cameras armed all the time, and the inside cameras only when I am not home.

If I set this up without the hard wire do I have to charge the door bell often?

A simple question: With the wireless system as you have put, what happens when someone presses the doorbell. Does your phone alert you? If you have Echo screen would that chime? Where is the audio 🔉 noise coming from to alert you? i.e. ding dong sound!?

I just bought the blink doorbell and two of the blink cameras for my husband for Christmas. Before I even start to mount the doorbell, do I absolutely need to have the sink module

Important note. Even if you use it as hardwired - it still runs on battery. The hardwire only makes your old doorbell work. It does not power the Blink doorbell camera.

@@Alvisr7 if you hook it up to the wiring of your old doorbell it should make the bell ring - if the doorbell transformer is powerful enough. Ours is really old and would have to be located and upgraded first.
