The official Vauxhall TIS workshop manual says to use red rubber grease on the bushes. Over time copper grease will soften the bushes you have fitted. TIS also specifically states that the subframe to body bolts SHOULD NOT be removed or replaced with an impact gun. Doing it that way you run the risk of breaking the threaded inserts that those bolts go into out of their housings. But all credit to you for tackling it, I use a mobile scissor lift and can get the car a lot higher and it's still not easy.

Yes, I'd have used rubber grease too. My new ones are in front of me as I write, and I couldn't see how anyone could possibly get the brackets over them without lube (which Haynes says not to use anywhere on them). Not lubricating the bushes and bar seems insane to me.

Ahh found this vid of u when searching about arb bushes. 1 day !! Ive just spent 2 days fitting new polyurethane bushes to my CLK. When i removed the 4 bolts on the bush clamps 1 snapped ! Subsequently discovered that the treads all got stripped when i removed tbe bolts !! So had to put nuts at the other end, which was a complete @#%* ! I still cleaned, painted the bar and new drop links like yourself !!

Hi mate couple of questions. I have a mazda 3 and I hear the anti-roll bar is 18mm at the rear. However, all the rear bush sizes on the web state they are 14mm so I am confused as to whether the part is likely to fit or not ? As I see at 17:00 in your video the is quite a large gap when you put the bushing on . Did this close up when you installed the clamps ? Thanks

What the hell did I just watch? Talk about over egging the pudding! Or...remove clamp, slip on bush replace clamp! Absolute waste of time spray painting. Unless you are replacing the anti roll bar in its entirety, there is no reason to have done any of this.
