It is for the table Samsung Galaxy tab 3 model Gt-p5210 had version 4.2.2 now only the lineage os was installed and the opengapps not, download the one that was in the description of the video.

Thank you very much for this very easy to follow video! Just a quick tip in case anyone runs into the troubles I had: 1) If your PC is not picking up the tablet when it's in Download mode, try another USB cable and another port. I had to try three different cables until I saw it come up. 2) If you're not seeing the zip files on the right hand side when it's time to install, on the left menu, select "go up a level" then go to external_sd. If it still doesn't show up, go back to the home screen, select "Mount", then hit the box with "Mount SD card". Go back to install, navigate to external_sd on the left and your files should be showing now. If this helps you, please like so that others can see it and benefit.

i had to import a new charging port from china and install it before i could do this as it wouldnt pick up the cable, took a month for the charge port to arrive and half hour in total to fit and upgrade quite impressed with myself hahaha

Thank you for suggesting to simply try out multiple different cables! I eventually found one in a drawer that did the trick. Amazing. I had almost given up on that USB port, thinking it was broken. Now I have been able to execute the excellent instructions by TechNo.

was surprised just how easy this was after initially watching the whole process but worked out perfect,no issues at all, very happy chappy, you are the man i can now run photography apps that wouldnt run before and without having to buy a field monitor or new tablet, you are the man thank you ever so much for the easy step by step tutorial.

Cant believe i got this to work. only issue i had was flashing "open_gapps-x86-7.1-pico" i had the wrong version, and it failed. The download links on this page doesnt have open_gapps-x86-7.1-pico anymore. I had to do a google search and find a similar version. Once i did that and put it on micro sd card , the tablet couldnt see the sd card anymore, so i pressed power and volume down to restart in recovery mode and then sd card showed up with the correct version "open_gapps-x86-7.1-pico:. Everything went smooth after that. thanks!

Thank you very much! well, for me it was not easy to do that. the download sites was VERY slow, about 12kbps, i waited about 2 hours to download one of the files. i found out that i need to have installed Samsung USB driver. then i copy the files to the SD card. could not find the files in the card whatever mount and unmount i did. so i mounted it on internal drive but could not install, needed to wipe again this time manually everything exept the internal storage. when i installed from the internal memory the installetion got stuck. anyway - the bottom line - the 10 yr old SD card was corrupted and it worked only when i got the files on new SD card and inserted the card exactly at the time that shown in video - AFTER the main screen appear, and after complete wipe including internal memory. i saw the rom files and all worked great. The tablet works great, i tried few reboots - all good. i will update if any issues. thanks for the video and help. BTW for other people as a drone pilot this tablet does not suitable to fly drones made by DJI. the operating system is not 64BIT.

I have done al the steps and the tablet is running the only issue its stuck on the point where you Connect it on WiFi and the tablet starts te search voor a software update u got soms tips and tricks for that ?

So got the update done. But now no wifi connection. It'll act like it will connect but then just revert to "saved" with no actual wifi connection happening. Tried restarting device, resetting network settings, restarting router even though everything else in the house is working. Nothing works. What am I missing?

Need help, after completing the odin process and rebooting the tablet, once I turn it on holding power+volume up to enter the new recovery mode, it just takes me to an Android menu but not the one showing on your video at min 3:20. I have performed all the steps but im facing this issue. What can be done?

go to odin >> option and don't select auto reboot then go directly to custom recovery ( TWRP )

Все поставилось - закатал в корень оба файла через кабель с ноута (при прошивке кит кат легко можно) , остальное по видео инструкции, Гапсы ставить именно X86 + 7.1 + pico. Первый раз косякнул - пришлось обратно откатывать на киткат шоб закинуть нужную версию. Приложения работают но подтармаживают. Но это единственный рабочий варик, для этого планшета, спасибо Автору- курил 4пда неделю но похожее не встретил.

Not working Samsung GT-P5210. Same (and newer in the next try) version of odin and the tar.md5 file. Tried on PC and notebook. In Oding the "Added" text don't appear in log. EDIT: Also installed Samsung USB.

Hey! First of all thanks for the video. Looked like everything was fine, but after installing a couple of apps, most of them do not respond. I was only able to use GMAIL and thats it 🙃. Any suggestion?

hello, I installed everything as indicated in the video, model P5210, the tablet reboots forever, please help fixed, pulled out the flash card as soon as I installed the firmware, and the endless loop stopped, probably the tablet opened the data from the flash drive first

Great video and thanks for sharing. On my side I had an issue with the sdcard mount and was forced to copy Lineage and G services to internal storage.

Thanx for this guide, I have to of these tablets that I was about to throw away. Unable to use, but had to try this method first. Sadly the tablets are still extremly laggy and still not able to play kid games with videos. Which is the main reason for them

Hi Just like find out. Tab 3 I installed everything and working fine. Only thing Is the wifi connected after installed fine. However the next day I booted up to use it now the wifi doesn't connect and says disabled... is there a update for this... Thanks

Toca Boca apps work fine for me on the cyanogen android 6 rom have not tried the android 7 rom

Hello, when I choose the option to install the Lineage OS the TWRP screen on the tablet just goes black and goes back to the menu screen. The last commands I see is "Updating partition details...done" and "Full SELinux support is present" before it goes back to the menu screen. I have tried 2 SD cards. Also, when I power on the tablet normally it is stuck at the logo screen, maybe because I have already wiped out the OS. Any tips or help? Thank you, kindly.

@@TechN3D Hey, it turns out that the ROM zip file I had downloaded was corrupted and once I re-downloaded and copied the zip file to the card, it worked and I was able to install the Lineage OS successfully. Thank you for your help.

I get this error when trying to download the lineage from the sd card in my tablet. (Failed to verify whole file signature) . Am I supposed to extract the folders (Lineage-14.1-2019 & open_gapps)on my computer before putting them into the micro sd card? Also, the booting menu on my tablet doesn't look like yours at all. I selected on my tablet "Apply update from external storage". Then I can see my SD card and select Lineage zip but then eventually as its loading I get that error. My info Product Name : GT-P5210 Current Binary : Samsung Official System Status : Official

No I had to skip that part because my computer won’t recognize the tablet when I plug it In with the usb. It charges my tablet but won’t recognize it. I even went online and installed the drivers for the galaxy tab3 . I also tried connected it through my laptop and same problem. Just won’t recognize the tablet. This belonged to my grandma. It was never plugged in these computers.

when you install TWRP with odin you must go directly to TWRP and don't open the system

After the joy that it worked 7.1 install unfortunately came very quickly the disillusionment. Every second app that I want to use hangs the device! Whether KZread, Firefox or whatever. Constantly the message that the app no longer responds. Even a restart of the device has not fixed. Unfortunately, Bluetooth does not work at all. Every few minutes, devices disconnect by themselves. Any suggestions on how I can fix all this ? Because unfortunately this has little to do with tablet to a new life.

if you installed TWRP with odin then don't open the system and go direclty to Custom recovery TWRP

Is the "Factory Reset" really enough ? Don´t you need the "Advanced Wipe" like on several other Lineage installations ?

Yea, the factory reset isnt enough it needs an advanced wipe. Which is a way of deleting the os.

Worked great thanks, upgraded so I could use sonos 2 however won't let me open the sonos app, just keeps closing the app. I have tried both versions. Anyone got any ideas please. Thanks

@@TechN3D The same as you show in the video. But after repeating the process 5 times I realized what the problem was. I had to take out the microsd card after the installation is done. Once I did that, voilá!! it boot perfectly. Thank you for all the effort and the tutorial!!

Or you can copy files to your device's internal storage then will appear in TWRP

Thanks for the video - All went as per your vid, the only issue I have is that when Lineage is starting up, I keep getting, Google Play Services keeps stopping, x Close App and after I get to the 'Set up as New' screen, I get Setup Wizard has stopped. I cannot get it to continue from there. Have done a hard reset, turned it off and on again etc. Tried wiping and reinstalling again, same result. Any clues by chance? Thanks

@@TechN3D I will try and find the version you have, but it is no longer available on Sourceforge, or the OpenApps website. I have tried several versions/varying dates, but still get the same result. Even if I only install Lineage and do not install Gapps, it still complains about the google service stopping. I am sure I must have done something else wrong..

Currently trying to load Lineage-14.1-20170414-UNOFFICIAL-Santos10wifi.zip and either of the following: open_gapps-x86-7.1-pico-20190813.zip, open_gapps-x86-7.1-pico-20220112.zip, open_gapps-x86-7.1-pico-20210126.zip. Whichever combination I try, it still has issues with the google service and setup wizard.

what if after entering the downloading page..and the Tab not added in Odin, how i can add it ?

the infrarred is working after the update?

As soon as i try to go the the downlaod mode Odin doesn't recognize my tab anymore and says "removed". Could it be cause my tab can connect with the pc for media transfer but not for charging anymore? Tried multiple cables and ports but nothing helped.

@@TechN3D I was an idiot and instead of pressing the power button + volume down i pressed the power button and volume up. Which opens the recovery mode instead of download mode.

Is there a way to go back to stock os ? Audio has been really bad and the colors aren't as vibrant

Hi, when i press the WIPE, it says (in red colour) E: Unable to mount `/system` But at the end it says Successful(Factory reset complete). then when i try to install Lineage-14.1, it says mount: faild to mount /dev/block/pci/pci0000:0000:00:01.0/by-name/SYSTEM at / system :Invalid argument unmount of /system failed; no such a volume and the progress bar is keep going forever,,,, Please Help. thank you,,,,,

@@TechN3D my model is GT-P5210. i have manage to resolve the issue with the " E: Unable to mount `/system` ". Now every thing is going smooth as in your video but when i try to install Lineage-14.1, the progress bar goes up to 1/4 and won"t go further. i left it all night long to complete but it is not completing.,,,

@@TechN3D hi, i resolved the issue. i think it was the memory card , after formatting the sd card the problem resolved. Thank you so much,,,,,,
