Installing an Autoloc power window kit in my 1965 chevy impala.
Also I quick update of what I've done over the past few weeks on the impala project.
The install was pretty simple, only worry I had is if the motors would be strong enough to lift the windows on the old tracks and the motors had no problem doing that. now just hope they last !
If your interested in this kit check out ebay that where I got mine for around 160 bucks shipped to my door.
Hope this video helped anyone thinking about installing this kit in there car or truck thanks for watching and don't forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE AND HIT THAT NOTIFICATION BELL FOR MORE COOL VIDEOS.
THANKS FOR WATCHING !!!

The brackets seem to be made to mount on the motors on one particular side - looking at the screw points on both parts. You mention the back of the motor at 11min 40sec of the video and talk about why you're mounting it from the 'front' and only using the one screw. It is possible that you mounted the motors on the wrong side of the vehicle - and that if they'd been on the opposite sides then the 'back' would have been the front and you'd have used both screw holes with the bracket hardware. Is there any reason that they have to be installed on one side as opposed to the other?

  • @AllThingsCool

I am so tempted to get this kit for my ranger but the biggest thing that worries me is the plastic gears, and the motors. I keep reading reviews that the motors end up not working after a while because or that the plastic gears that attach to the window crank nub eventually strip out... how have they been now that you've had them for 7 months?
