When I did mine I used a jack to jack the winch and plate up into place. Most good trolley jacks will reach even if you've got to use a block of wood.

Thanks man! Looking forward to testing it out! Picked it up second hand from one of my work fleet.. never been used and 1 year old for a bargain. Pretty happy, rear locker in and I’ll be ready for Cape next year

Great vid Bradesss, thanks for the tip of the winch cradle. Also, where did you source your recovery point from? As I'm trying to source some myself but a lot of the recovery points are unable to install with the Toyota OEM bullbar. Thanks in advance, happy travels.

Cheers mate I got this recovery point directly from ARB! The old one bolted straight out and used the same bolt holes for this one to bolt in. No cutting. Think it was about $160. But worth it

Do you know if the 13xp Runva will fit in the genuine 76 bar? I have the Toyota mounting plate

Hey mate! Can’t be 100% sure as I’ve only got experience with the 11xp, although there is lots of room in the bar around the 11xp, so I’d say there’s a fair chance it would! I think it’s only the motor that’s bigger anyway on the 13, and the cable roller etc would all be generic size. The Warn winches look a LOT bigger than the Runva and they fit in there no probs too.

Went to Toyota today and they said the cradle is for a superwinch, did you have to make any modifications to it. I have an XDC winch. Cheers

Hey mate, nah no modifications at all. Directly mounted the winch with 4 bolts and then bolted the whole bracket straight in. Not actually sure what they mean by ‘superwinch!’ I’ve got a Runva, did it look the same as the XDC one you’ve got in the video?

@@4wdAdventure Had another look a my bullbar today and offered up the winch, its not going to fit due to it having an XP motor on it which is longer, therefor the winch drum is not in the centre. Looks like I need to sell the Warn and buy a Runva.

@@blahha1036 Bugga! That sucks mate for the hassle. I can definitely vouch for the Runva 11XP, I put it through its paces and even managed a straight up vertical pull at 3.6tonne. Here's a link to the winching vid, about 2mins in kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIF3mLlulsioh5s.html
