Easiest way to install is from the outside actually Start from which ever end and start rolling it in and hooking into track a section a time I do this every day at my job

Tough way to install a liner. Next time, take it out of the box at the breakover, place the liner at the center of the breakover with the arrow facing the stairs. Two people pull the liner to the stairs and install the steps first. Then work your way back to the breakover. At that point, have at least one person on each side of the pool pull the remaining liner to the deep end of the pool. Install the liner in the bead making sure the corners are where they belong and work back toward the breakover.Try it, you'll like it.Rick

Rick Tanguay. My dad has been in the pool industry for over 37 years. He has been doing it the way you just said. I have bean working with him for 8 years I like it, it’s a pretty fun job (but) can be tough sometimes.

When I installed my liner with steel steps it was not as easy as this video made it look. I would like more information on how the liner fits in the space between the steps. Could you possibly provide more help videos with tricks and tips to fit liner in those steps. It was a miserable experience for me. I really like the look of liner over the steps, just has to be an easier way.

Agreed, and my liner came with a reverse bead over the steps. I had 15,000 gallons of water and no fix. Had to work around it and still was charged for the bead incorrect.

I'm in the process of Replacing my liner.I now have my liner out. It's been out for about a week, and we are waiting for our liner to be made and shipped to us.The pool floor actually looks really good!! However, there is some ground water weaping at a few of the seams of the polymer walls where the floor meet... , and some sand from behind the wall too. Not a lot , of water, but some. My questions are 1) should we repair these weaping areas? , or not be concerned? 2) if I am going to repair this, with what product? I see a product called Hydracrete that works on wet/weaping areas, but I don't know if it is too rough for the underside of the liner.? Or should I use pool crete? If yes to the pool crete will it bond well? I saw the video on making old concrete bond with new concrete-- It said to Clean the area well, acid wash, then make a slurry of portland cement, water and a glue product by quick crete-- then paint it on, then apply the new concrete( Or pool crete is my question?) I don't want to mess up what looks like a really decent pool floor, but I don't want to regret not repairing the leaky areas either. And just FYI, we do have a sump pump in an underground barrel with holes in it to pump out ground water, near the pool, and this worked well to keep out ground water from collecting under our liner. I'm open to any and all suggestions!! Thank you!!

Curious to hear what you ended up doing. It seems like it’s something that needed to be fixed?

Can I screw in the brackets for the stair rods into the steel stairs on my in-ground vinyl liner covered steel stairs when I replaced the old liner I found the rods are embedded in the sides of the stairs

You will need to request "rod pockets" be added to the design of your liner when looking to replace in the future. The rods should come out but we would recommend verifying first. Most manufactures, like Hydra Pools, no longer use rods and have gone to a tab method. It's a much simpler process but the rods should come out unless other issues have come to light.

I took my liner off the rods are embedded into the sides of the stairs they look threaded on the ends the rods are Rusty I use the vise-grips I cannot return the rods

go with fiberglass or concrete, liners will have wrinkles

why is it recommended to use foam on the steel walls?

Offers a barrier between liner and wall to preserve the liner from punctures and damage in the event the walls have any sharp surface...also prevents it from sticking to wall

@@nathanielmoore5677 That's completely backwards and incorrect. Lay a piece of paper on your desk and try to puncture it with a pencil. Impossible. Now place a thin piece of foam under the paper and try.....hole!

Step 4 is wrong. Open liner in pool where you know it’s clean of debris. Their boots are leaving little bits of stuff that could puncture your new liner.
