The RadiusCX Clutch is Rekluse's top of the line auto-clutch package that combines all of the components from both the Core EXP and the RadiusX-creating the top-tier auto-clutch package. This kit includes the EXP auto-clutch for stall-free riding, the TorqDrive clutch stack that precisely transfers the most power possible, the billet pressure plate and clutch hub that are both incredibly wear resistant, the billet aluminum clutch cover that can withstand serious impacts, and the clutch springs and adjustable slave cylinder-both dependent on your bike’s manufacturer and OEM equipment. Take a closer look as Charles shows how to install the Rekluse RadiusCX Clutch on this 2004 Honda CR250R, but the instructions shown will be very similar for all dirt bikes.

so you install the thing, put oil in it, then check free play in the lever and if theres too much you have to drain the oil and take it all apart again to move that ring a smidge? i dont know if i still wanna get one of these now

  • @rmatvmc

It's not too big of a job to adjust the free play. You will have to take the clutch cover off but you can just lean your bike over like we did in this video so you don't need to drain the oil.

Hi hoping you can help I'm looking for a auto clutch for my wife's yamaha fazer 1000 she has developed problems with her left hand and can't pull the clutch. I watched your video of the bike with the auto clutch and thought great she can still ride her bike but Rekluse don't list her bike Would it be possible that you would have clutches you could match up with the yamaha so I can get one for the wife There's no one here in the UK that stocks the clutches thanks big Mike

This is taken directly from the Rekluse website: "Rekluse clutch systems are designed to work with OEM recommended oils, specifically those that meet JASO MA or MA2 standards. Our in-house oil testing has shown that clutch performance is maximized with oils designed specifically for wet-clutch applications." So, the oil that your bike originally called for will still work great for the RadiusX clutch.

I emailed recluse and they said that the Migura HYMEC clutch didn't work with it. I have the same recluse clutch on my bike but the HYMEC clutch doesn't seem to work. How are you still running the HYMEC clutch with the auto-clutch.

It's been a couple of years since we did that so it's hard to remember exactly what we did. I believe we had a spacer that worked to get the correct free-play. It was definitely a longer spacer. I'll dig into it a little further and let you know. -Charles

@@larsonoverby1440 The owner of the bike hasn't gotten back to me yet, I believe we stacked the two spacers that came in the kit and possibly added a small washer or two until we had the correct play. The plan was to then make one solid piece that was the same length, you might have to have a machine shop make that spacer for you. -Charles

@@marianitosan9759 I'd rather cheat my way through a trail than accidentally drop my bike and bend a handlebar, snap a lever, injure myself, or damage the side of my bike. Not everything has to be a competition, this is a tool just like a phone is a tool to contact your buddy down the road without walking to his house, is using the phone "cheating"? Some people get more enjoyment riding with their friends and family without having to fineness a clutch and that's really all riding it about, is getting outside and enjoying your time there. I bet you're the type of person who tries to make everything a competition... Using such a tool like this in a competitive setting I can understand your "cheating" notion, but then it also comes down to if the racing association hosting that trail event wishes to regulate the use of it.. You can dump a TON of money and time into a bike by buying the most expensive milled aluminum components to drop the weight by 15-30 pounds as well but once again, it comes down to the association hosting the event to determine what they want to classify as the "lightest a bike can be" for their CC classes. Bottom line, don't hate a tool, advancement, or otherwise different method of achieving the same outcome if it is openly available to everyone for a competitive setting.. And shut the hell up if it's not even a competitive setting with people just riding for fun.......

@@akustaka Since you get personal with me, telling me what kind of person I might be then here is my response to you. If you're afraid of damaging the side of your bike by accidentally dropping it in the trail, then by all means do not ride in the dirt. Dirt bikes are tough. I dropped mine hundreds of times, flipped it, you name it. I replaced almost all the plastics because I've broken them. A dirt bike never last very long looking show room pristine. If you ride it and challenge your self, even a tiny bit, you'll drop it, just a reality of riding dirt trails. Of course if all you do is cruise in first gear through flat hiking trails then you might succeed at never dropping your bike. Of course, buying a Rekluse for that kind of riding it would be a huge waste of money. I recommend you spend your money in some protective gear like riding gloves, boots, etc (from your videos it looks like you ride in shorts and no gloves) before dropping a grand on a recluse though.

Isn't riding a motorcycle just cheating our way out of pedaling, which is cheating our way out of walking?
