Very good video. I never thought about getting into the car between front and back to be able to put down the weight needed. Thank you. This saved my wife and I from taking the seat back to the store.

You should have demonstrated how to and where to attach the safety tether for the rear facing car seat. It may not move from side to side very much, but if you were to lift 'up' on the back of the seat, it would have leaned forward.

Safety tethers in the back are for forward facing only

My issue is my middle seat doesnt have the ratcheting lap belt. Its just the regular lap belt. Not sure if it holds the "tightness"

Okay but how do you install with older cars that don’t have those hooks to latch onto?

I understand where you’re coming from. But everybody learns differently and sometimes the manuals don’t provide a good enough description. Whereas a video is more helpful because it provides a visual description. It’s always better to just stay quiet when you have nothing nice to say.

@@frozengrapes23 actually my comment was about child seat complexity, so we humans still can’t build simple solution

You say it's best in the middle because it's furthest away from impact from both sides. Then you say if not then it's fine too. I don't get that. Is it best in the middle or not? If the seat is on the side and there is heavy impact there, won't the child be very badly hurt, and had been better to be in the middle? Which is it?

The safest place to instal is the seat wear you get the best installation, not all car seat fit well in the middle in all cars.

CiljanCristiano can't you get the cat altered to accommodate the Center. If a car smashes into the rear door where the car seat is, it could be all over for the kids life. Don't we want to spend the extra cash to make the seat able to be in the best, safest spot, not the easiest? It amazes me when people say it's hard to do something as the reason to not do something. I got a hook installed in the middle of the back of the rear seats to make it possible for the middle positioning. I wanted my kids to be as safe as possible, not as easy as possible. I spent $100 to make my sons life much more secure. Is that too much to do to make your kids life much safer?

Perry Pelican I think it’s more about The car Then The car seat. It is still very safe to put your kid in any of The other seats AS well, as long as it is rearfacing. AS far AS I know The US is The only country that says middel is safer, Europe does not

CiljanCristiano it's a matter of physics. If your car is hit in the rear door then it's obvious that the car seat would be better off in the middle. I don't need a government decision to decide tbat for me. Just think about it. I will explain another way. If you are driving and a car comes from the side and hits your door, do you think you are better off where you are or as far away from the impact as possible? It is a fact that if the car seat can be secured properly then it is better in the middle than next to a door. It's just an obvious fact. Do you decide right and wrong according to government rules? Do you think that the government is perfect and every decision it makes is right? I can make a long list of totally stupid ridiculous american state bylaws. Just the fact that states disagree drastically on so many issues tells you that you have to use your brain to decide what's best. How did the government allow houses to be built with asbestos for decades when people were dying from cancer caused by as asbestos. Why do you think lobby groups are so powerful. They don't lobby for what is best for humanity or americans. They lobby for what's best to put the most money I to the pockets of those who pay them. So we are motivated by money much more than what's really best for our health. America has a president who is a pathological liar supported by 35% of Americans. What does that say about proper decisions made for the good of the health of most Americans. Think about it before answering. Don't answer like someone controlled by trends. Do you go with everything that is trendy, like the style of furniture, the way your house is designed, the fashion you choose etc etc. It's all based on what everyone else wants and say that they like. Isn't it strange that everyone changes what they like at the same time? Why is that? Seriously. Why did everyone want certain cars and certain interior designs and suddenly everyone changed to the exact same likes and dislike at the same time like sheep. Don't say because it's better. People don't want a car because it's better, it's because it's trendy. What is trendy? It means act like a sheep and follow the leader with no mind of your own.

Rear facing can be deadly! If a infant or kid begins to choke they can easily aspirate without the driver being aware. No eye contact!!

Rear facing is safer for impact and other problems can easily bypassed with mirrors or other people in the car.

It's the law in some states. Especially in Cali, any baby under 2 years old has to be rear facing unless they are 40 pounds or 40 inches . Safer!
