can you install it on any non-quick release frame?

Hello there! I really liked the video and I have a question. I seem to have lost one of the springs. Is having both of the springs crucial? If not, should I install my only spring next to the skewer or the other side?

So where are the springs placed? Inside of the forks or outside touching bolt and handle?

Can you upgrade a bike without quick release to have quick release at the front and back of the wheel

My skewer won't go through the wheel for me
