Great video - thanks for posting! One thing though - I'm no plumber, but I think you're supposed to wrap the tape so that it gets tighter when you put the fittings together - it looked like you did the opposite. Doing it the wrong way can cause the tape to spin and/or wad up and cause a leak.

This would be correct if he weren't using a coupler on the flare fitting. To use a flare fitting without tape, the female side needs to also be flared (which in this case, it was not).

Thinking of doing this to our trailer to allow us to connect our generator. I’m concerned that using a ball valve like you did could rattle into the open position while you’re driving down the road; especially since you have it set up so closed is with the lever in the up position.

Yeah that's a great point. I've had others comment that I used incorrect fittings as well (even though I had help picking them out at the hardware store, so once we are ready to take it back on the road (when weather cools down) I plan to redo it. Hey, thanks so much for commenting. Yeah you know, I had a couple of other folks mentioned that it look like the fittings weren't correct for gas so I ended up taking it off. Better to be safe than sorry. I'll have to redo it when I have some time and make sure all the fittings are proper gas fittings. It's weird because those came with the coupler. @@FatMatAdventures Would be really good to add that to the title or as a pop up text in the video - reason is because people are looking to these videos for advice, and if you have to scroll way down in the comments to find out it wasn't done correctly, a person could end up with a propane leak or worse as a result. Especially with propane, if you have corrections, please note that in the video itself or in the title so viewers are aware. Your video does such a great job of showing exactly how to do each step, so keep that up! But make sure the step is a correct one, or a text pops up at a certain point to say "I wrapped tape wrong here - make sure you _______". That way folks still can use the video for guidance but do it correctly. Even more respect for you if you correct errors and own them, to further help people out! Cheers!
