In this video we show you how to install a Pentair Clean and Clear RP Cartridge Filter System. We are replacing the non RP version and we discuss why we prefer the RP over the non RP. Plus, the RP version is cheaper to acquire. Weird I know right? haha. We also discuss some ways to make glue joints nice and solid so they don't leak when you fire the system back up.

What’s your favorite version of the Pentair Clean and Clear Filter?
What I don’t like about Pent air fiters is that middle black guide for the cartridge after some time start to coming apart, I like better the new Hayward filter system .

What’s your minimum’s at this point now that a bucket of tabs is $250 coming from $80 back in 2020? Chemicals price jumps in general have been outrageous

I’m in Southern California and going rate right now in our area is between $140-$165

We start at $160 here and those are for tiny screened in pools. Our industry’s greed has taken costs in some cases over 100% while most industries are between a 15%-35% increase, some higher of course.

Oatey Clear Heavy and Clear Cleaner or the Pool Tite equivalent if not available at the supply house. We do prefer Oatey.
