How to Install a Handheld Bidet Sprayer | Quick & Easy

Ойын-сауық

With the current situation going on in the world and everyone deciding to hoard toilet paper, I thought it would be a good idea to get my wife and I a bidet. Turns out I had waited a little too long and most of them were sold out or on backorder. However, I was able to find all the individual parts I need to build a handheld bidet sprayer, and it was actually really quick & easy to install.

I have a Muslim friend who is using the bidet himself and his family. He said washing the rear, and the front is part of their religion. I always make fun of it because I am used to wiping with paper, and that's it. Once he told me when your done eating your salmon just wipe the plate and smell it!!! It will look clean but yet stinks unless if you wash it, then it will both smell and feels immaculate, the same concept applies to your parts. Anyways, I am still not convinced until he invited me over and tried it my self LIKE OMG!!!! for the first time I feel my butt clean, fresh and there are no hanging objects anymore. ever since I am using it in my bathroom

Thanks for the great video! I spent the last 18 months in Vietnam where 99% of all toilets have one attached. I installed one immediately following my return and will never go back to toilet paper. It is so much cleaner and much better for the environment. A word of caution; make sure you check for leaks periodically as anything tightened by hand can loosen over time. I keep a small plastic tray under the hose just in case.

I live in Italy and here the bidet (not the Japanese style though, just google Italian bidet) is mandatory by law in at least one bathroom of the house, but everyone has one in every other bathroom or at least a sprayer like the one in the video. You can use it to clean the toilet bowl as well. For us women it's unthinkable to live without it when you are on your period you can wash yourself during the day, it's good for UTI's prevention as you said, in the hot summer it's a blessing. Also good before sex, you can just give yourself a quick wash without having to take a full shower every time ;) But we don't use it as a replacement for toilet paper, we wipe and then use the bidet!

I think those people who start to use this method of washing after going to the bathroom will wonder how on earth did they only discover this and they will never want to go back to not washing. In India, we use jet sprays. Exactly what you showed. Its just a small attachment on the side of the commode. You do not need a separate seat / commode to clean. Very economical. Just under 5-7 US Dollars here in india. Using water is more hygienic & healthy as a paper wont ever clean 100%. And since its dry, bacteria & germs make the anus area worst with bad smell & infections. Use a water jet spray or a bidet fitting. it’s definitely more hygienic. Every person in India, be it poor or the rich, uses water to clean the butt. Its more safer, hygienic & cleaner than using a paper. Once you get used to water, believe me you wont ever go back to use a toiler paper. Use water, say no to infections.

2 additional note for those who interested to install this spray jet... 1/. Make sure to turn off the switch after use. These type of flexible hose is not designed to hold high water pressure for a long period of time. Otherwise, you might find water flooding in your toilet floor one day morning. 2/. There is kind of strong adhesive shower head holder in the market. Just peel off the back layer and stick it on the tile or painted wall. I bought 2 for about 1.5 USD in China, use it for a year and it's still there doing it's job. Type "Adhesive Shower Head Holder" and you'll see how it looks.

A pipe bursting or leaking is very possible due to the pressure. Read the reviews on Amazon, Home Depot, etc, where it's mentioned. After use, you need to shut the small lever that comes with the parts and squeeze the handle one more time to get rid of residual water.

wonderful tutorial. I bought the product and tried to install it but having leakage between t-connector and toilet. Is this a rubber washer issue cause i have used one or a tape issue cause i have used that as well, or have i tightened it way too tight? Can you help me with this issue?

1:49 ..... I strongly suggest not to untighten the wing nut that holds the fill valve pipe in place, because if it is an older design, opening the nut can tear the rubber washer and you end up with a leak from the tank. Also, never rotate the fill valve inside the tank as you did when you adjusted the position of the T-fitting because when you rotate the entire fill valve inside the tank, depending on the model of fill valve, hoses and mechanical arms, etc could now interfere with the water shut off mechanism inside the tank or the flush handle arm etc. If you need to adjust the position of the T-fitting with shut off for the sprayer, loosen it's nut again, rotate the fitting to where it needs to be, hold it firmly in place while tightening the nut onto the fill valve pipe. Never open existing plumbing connections, especially older ones that have settled into place over the years, unless you absolutely have to and are ready to replace with new fittings and new equipment in the highly likely event of creating a new leak.

Awesome video thanks for sharing! Im filipina my mom came from not so rich family so growing up with my mom when younger she taught my sisters and i to (tabo) lol in english its called washing up instead of using toilet paper but we used tiny little plastic cups with handles! Lol being a kid at that time it was messy water all over the toilet and id tell my mom why not shower? It didnt make sense to me then but it all worked out in the end and it was definitely conveniently and a much cleaner, fresher experience! 😁 will absolutely look into putting a bidet in for my me and my daughter!

Yes! That is honestly the only problem. I just bought and installed this myself thinking it was wonderful. Being in North America, Water is too cold during winter. I’m shivering touching the cold handle, let alone to let the cold water touch me. Came to utube to see if anyone has come up with an easy solution to make water warmer, but no luck and I don’t want to hire a plumber and bring a hot water line. Thus, unfortunately, this will be returned :(
