I just installed these exactly the way you showed here. Mine short circuited thrice, and sparks came out. I re checked no wires are touching. It still works, and has not sparked again. Not sure why it did that. Any idea ?

You put the wires on vice versa lol. Good correction at the end tho;)

My light stopped working after1 year, it just flashes when it detects motion.

I have the same outdoor wall. Jw where and how did you get a white board flushed against the wall to mount the light?

If you are talking about the square mount it was already installed. But you can get them at Lowes or home depot. They are a two piece mount, take it apart, remove the siding where you want it, nail the base to the wall, cut the siding so that it goes over the base without showing the nail strip. Install the siding and the 2nd peice of the mount just snaps on and covers the edges of the siding where you cut. I hope this helps

You used the old rubber seal that's probably worn out, I'm sure this light comes with a new weather seal?!?!

Just bought this same exact light for $69 and it doesn’t come with a new gasket! What a rip off. The previous light I installed was $20 and came with a gasket, but the light failed in 3 months time. I’m just hoping that the gasket that’s there is ok because the closest Home Depot or Lowe’s that I just came from is an hour away.

Always disassemble black 1st and ground last and install in reserve order and always verify that there is no voltage present with voltage tester, meter or at the least a non-contact tester (glow stick/tick tracer). If you make videos show this step, never trust a switch or breaker alone, especially if you will be high up on a ladder potentially
