How to install a ceiling light

Here's a short on how to install or replace an existing ceiling light. It's straight forward and most home owners should be able to do this. The new light we got emits over twice the lumens and our hallway is way brighter at night.
If you don't feel comfortable working with electricity, consult a pro.

Important to note you should start by shutting the power off to that area so you don’t electrocute yourself 😊

How to counter the delay when you flip the switch. I bought 6 of these and I have a massive delay. Do you aswell?

Replace the switch you have now with a dimmer switch

I don't see that, the wiring looks correct, with the new light's white wire connected to the two white wires, and the black to the black. You may be confused with the white paint on the black wire.

Def correct wiring. He even says “no ground because it’s insulated plastic” Gorgeous lights btw. Ordered mine today

So what do you do with the ground wire from the ceiling? Can I cap it?

You tuck it up with the rest of the wires.

They tend to last for 7+ years of continuous use, at least. Mine cost 50 bucks for 2, lasted 7 years in my bathroom, only one of them went out, but going to replace both regardless
