that cable with a d sub 15 is the input from the receiver .and the rca connector are the speaker connectors I guess you got it wrong at the beginning

It automatically sets them but you set all speakers to small only very large speakers can be set to large and I'm not talking about just normal tower speakers I'm talking about tower speakers with 2 8inch subs 2 6inch mids and 1 tweeter but anyways set speaker to 90 hz and have bose sub crossed over at 100 hz

The maximum RMS potential power of the sony receiver is useless..Inside the bose module was high to low level suppressor circuit to integrate with the 5 channel amplifier inside the bass module for driving those 5 small speakers.. Estimated watts per bose small speaker would be 50w or less..now the sony receiver assuming 100watts rms rated output per channel. was only attenuated by this bose bass module to match those small speakers.. Why not just buy 2 tower speakers, 1 center speaker, 2 sorround speakers all rated 120W and an active subwoofer.. Rest assured that the sony receiver if rated 100W rms per channel will be more happier and will produce the better quality sound at decent spl level..cheers

It's very surprising that Bose lifestyle systems can hook up to any amplifier. According to them that the Lifestyle systems cannot hook up to any amplifier as it is proprietary systems. but I'm amazing they way u handle the systems. So that's mean any Bose lifestyle systems can mix and match any AVR receiver Right?

Only the Bose Acoustimass can be used with any 5.1 receiver. The Lifestyle 600 and 650 is proprietary with its own receiver.

Confusing video. I watched this because I have Bose lifestyle 28 speakers I have had since 2003 and they still sound and work great. Too bad i have no idea where the wires are coming from that goes into the Sony.

there is no adapter only the receiver cables go directly to the sub and the speaker cables come out of the sub, that's all you have to do ... if you connect it right; only what remains to be done is to connect the sub to the electricity and that should work ...

Rene Lopez. All you have to do is connect all the speakers out of the receiver then the speaker will bring the sound from the receiver to the sub and that will give you sound

hello Sudhakaran Muthukumar the sub has the all connections. if you see that black thick wire has all the speakers wires that goes connected from the sub to the receiver, and all the speakers comes out from the sub . that's how I have mine and it's works fantastic. I know there's a extra blue wires that mine has but I didn't use it. that's the way I have mine sir. good luck.

@@outDood705 you have the out put and input backwards in your explanation. It says right on it that the big black bunch of cables is input. Which means from reciever. The RCA on the sub says output. So they go too the speakers.

Hello Quan so you connect the speaker wires from the subwoofer to the receiver you connect them where are the speakers supposed to go on the receiver and then remember all the speakers wires is going to get out from the subwoofer to the speakers once you do that all of them should work the subwoofer and the speakers.... Well I have mind that way

OMG YES!!!! Please. My Dad had all this Bose stuff and after he passed and I was in the hospital recovering from cancer, someone stole most of his stuff from my house and it's all I had left of him. We used to listen for hours and hours every time he'd get new Bose stuff. All I have left is a 3 2 1 AV receiver and a cinemate acoustimass subwoofer. I've been trying for a year for Bose to just give me the schematics so I can try to figure out how to connect them myself, but I've never done elctronic. I'm willing to try anything to feel like I'm listening with my Dad again. If you could help, THAT'D BE AWESOME!!!!

You keep saying that it's a Subwoofer lol, Bose Does Not make Subwoofers, That unit is a Simulated Low Frequency Module. It only consists of 2 5 - 6 1/4 drivers. Also it is not capable of producing true low Frequency's like A Subwoofer would. This is why Bose has earned the Name Bose "All Highs, And No Lows" because it's basically cheap paper cone woofers for highs, and No True Bass. Sorry, Just wanted to correct you on that. This is why us Audiophiles Hate Bose so much. They are overpriced like Macs, but made Simple User Dummy Friendly for anyone to connect, but the consumer doesn't really care about True Movie Home Theater Experience!!! And You forgot to connect the Low Frequency Module as well, It should be plugged into the Sub out port, and the Wall 120V wall outlet, unless you have a Non Powered Unit, where then I really feel sorry for you because you will have zero bass lol.

Whenever I see this Bose "proprietary" connector, I can't wait to just take it apart and hardwire them to make connection straight and simple. They are nothing but electrical wires sending analog signals, jeez. Connectors just suck, just look at Apple products.
