Wow, thank you very much!!!! I greatly appreciate that. Let's see if I can address your questions: 1. I used the ASURE Radio (should be the first link in the description). 2. No, you do not need to replace your speakers. The radio works with the OEM ones. If i recall the factory speakers are 2ohms, but the radio is setup for 4ohm. We have a video that changes out the speakers due to age/sun exposure. 3. The Altima in the video is also a 2015 S, so you should be in great shape!!! You got this. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you! This video was perfect. Stereo installed with zero issues! The only annoyance is that my skip track functions in the steering wheel are backwards. Before, up skipped to the next track, and down went back. Now, that’s reversed. Other than that, everything works perfectly.

I'm not sure if you figured it out yet, but there's a setting to "reverse" this and have so up is forward again. I'm not in my car right now so I can't check, but it was called something like "reverse audio buttons/controls". I found it while trying to fix my factory mic (it now apparently sounds very low during phone calls)

@@conangibbs Will do! I'm currently trying to figure out what the issue with the mic is, I even contacted customer support to see if they have a solution. Same thing here, apparently I sound very low in phone calls and there's an echo where the other person hears themselves. Let me know if you have issues finding the setting for the steering wheel controls and I can find them again next time.

Keep it installed, It sounds like an A/C auto amp. This Altima did not have a backup camera, however I've heard several individuals having success with the backup camera setup.

My question is what happens with the volume and audio knob? The blizzard damaged my screen so im thinking on buying these

The link you provided states it's up to the 2012 nissan altimate. Did you find zero issues installing it on the 2015 altima? I have a 2013 that i want to make sure it is compatible.

The link is correct. The radio applicable to 2015 is out-of-stock. The radio links contain multiple radios (usually 2), make sure you select the one for your year. The ASURE Radio sells out very quickly, then restocks. They seem to restock weekly.

Nice tutorial. Is it standard procedure to mount the gps module inside rather than on the dash? I'd be worried about getting a good gps signal. A smart phone even loses signal as soon as you put it below the level of the dash on your lap or passenger seat.

Thank you. GPS Antennas are typically installed on the trunk or on top of the roof. However, for this application and location, this was acceptable. Where are you located to lose GPS from the passenger seat?

Does this unit come with connections for aftermarket amp, sub, and speakers? I am referring to remote wire for amp. I see the rca sub connection, are the aux in/out the rca cables for the speakers?

For the remote wire, you can use a AudioControl LC2i module or buy an amplifier with onboard signal detection; similar to kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4V2l9OhksSTeKQ.html

Great video - I used your affiliate link. I'm having a problem with the wiring. My radio did not come with the two piece red and white connectors that connect to the rca auxiliary left in (the first thing you connected in the video). Is this supposed to come with the radio?

How fast is it? Are you experiencing any lag? How is the startup time? How long after you push to start it does it take to load?

It works pretty well and fast. Boots up the same time as normal radios; a few seconds.

I am having a problem with the mic quality whenever I am over the phone . Does it come with a new mic or it is same car mic that was working fine before ? Does it have a separate plug in the screen ( mic plug ) ?

As far as I know. It does not come with an external mic. When using the phone (via radio), the conversation seems clear. Sadly, I don't see a connection for a microphone.

This is awesome. I was going to spend over $200 at another vendor. Does this model fit a 2015 Nissan Altima SL 2.5 with navigation and back up camera? Are there any other wires needed.

That's a great question. I had to go out to the car and check. Yes, it does display the song name as long as you enable RDS (Radio Data System).

I'll see what I can do; it may be difficult due to iPhones being somewhat different. Try connecting to the Radio via Bluetooth first. Then press Car Link (on the Radio). Go back to your phone and goto Settings->General->Carplay and select the Radio from the list.

I have a 2012 which is a semi similar look so I have a question, how is it using maps while driving? I’ve always used my phone on my dash so I could still see the road when using it, it looks like it’s a little bit low in the car and you’d have to look away from the road to use it since it isn’t designed like more modern cars that have the screens by default and much higher up by the dash. I plan on getting a touchscreen and backup camera just to make life easier but I want to know if the screen is still good for using maps despite being lower on the dash

We use Apple CarPlay with Google Maps on the radio. It calls out the directions and turns, so you don't always have to look down.

The factory mic does work. It's ok in quality. There is an option to connect an external mic; Sadly, I'm not sure how it sounds.

This model did not have a backup camera equipped. However, it does have an input for a camera.

The radio links contain multiple radios (usually 2), make sure you select the one for your year. If the link sends you to a previous year model, it's most likely the desired year is out-of-stock. Check back in a day or two.

It is ideal to mount the antenna outside the vehicle. However, the car is not shielded to that degree (Faraday cage). Hints, why your cellphone GPS still works in your car.

Great video! Why didn’t you install the microphone that comes with the kit? Were you able to connect to the cars factory microphone?

The radio we ordered didn't come with an external microphone. Maybe they added it later. Edit: It looks like they did add it to the current radios. Very cool.

Just leave them secured. I pulled them out once just to perform a firmware upgrade. Other than that, just leave them behind the dash

Hello! I notice that the linked product says for Altima models 2007-2012, however in the video the Altima model is 2015. Did you just discard the lower trim piece included with the linked product that fits the 2007-2012 models?

Good question. No, the supplier has both the pre-2012 radios and the post-2012 radios (using the same link). They are currently out of stock on the newer radios (the one in the video). I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

What wire harness did he use? I got the radio but I need to know what wire harness kit to purchase that comes with rca outputs?

Unknown. This Altima doesn't have a reverse camera

Will this screen work for my 2017 Altima sr without navigation or Bose? I clicked the link for the screen and I went to it but the description confused me. Help!

Whats the used of the xtra usb cable?

Good question. You can plug in a jump drive or an mp3 player. Maybe play songs from a USB stick, perhaps. Seems more for older applications.
